Hangtime Café — Restaurant in East Devon

Sorry to have to take another star off you but what goes on behind that serving hatch? Is it that hard to produce a hot drink? Well apparently so, that's 3 times on the trot that a "hot" drink has been only luke warm. It's simply not good enough, and I've only given you the 2 stars because you're lovely people in an idyllic location. But come on you're not being fare, and I suspect you only get away with providing such a poor drink because your trade is so transient. Sorry to say I'm done with you, no longer will I give you my trade, will you worry, I suspect not.

I find it interesting and perhaps significant that rather than accept my remarks, and address the issue, you prefer to respond with some nonsense about burning the milk, which apparently does not happen if I request a "extra hot" drink, or for that matter at other establishments that we frequent. I have absolutely no doubt that you work very hard, which actually only makes the situation sadder. Loved the cafe . Was expecting the cafe to be indoor having followed on Instagram and taken an interest ,so me and my gf decided to get the train to exmouth from Exeter and have a few hours around exmouth on my birthday . It’s outdoor with seating available .I had a latte and had a gazillionaire to take away .I had the cake I bought to take away was lovely ,chocolate caramel and flapjack. My gf had a croissant and a hot chocolate . I should have posted this review 2 years ago. Hangtime Cafe (HC) is a real gem! Within the Shoreside setting it is the best beachfront redevelopment in Exmouth for many years. Only giving a 5 star rating does not do justice to HC. I have stopped most days as part of my jogging/walking daily routine. The coffee is consistently great, the team are always smiley, friendly, quick and professional. The cakes, pastries and pasties are all very tasty. HC is open in all weathers a real benefit to locals in the winter months. The location is fantastic, on the edge of the sandy beach with beautiful views of the Devon coastline and Exe river.
