Ocean Exmouth - The Deck Restaurant — Restaurant in East Devon

We booked a table for four people for the carvery at The Deck restaurant and when we turned up we were stood waiting around for 10 minutes before any of the numerous members of staff who frequently passed by even acknowledged us waiting at the bar.

Once we were being served, a member of staff informed us that they only had two carvery spaces left despite us booking for four people.

I asked them how they could resolve the situation and the response was “well what do you want me to do?”. Their solution was that they could seat all four of us but only two of us would be fed as that was all they had capacity for?

Usually come here after softplay as can relax on sofa and kids can some some chips. New management I've heard have taken over, new menu's in both softplay & restaurant. Menu has changed and for the worse! You can order a pizza in the softplay however you aren't allowed a pizza in the restaurant (all comes for the same kitchen). Changed their supplier of drinks and gone for cheaper options on beer & cider with price increases on them. Limited veggie options on the menu now which as a veggie family little bit sad.
