Quite diasapointed with this place, came in around 1515 on a Sunday afternoon, place wasn't too busy and there were plenty of staff, sat on table quite close to the bar but it seems that I have become invisible as no one came to give me a menu or take my order, 10 min later I went up there myself and asked for a menu, I ordered the see food platter starter, half a lobster main and a drink, asked specifically for the drink to come with the food, 5 min later my drink came, Pepsi with ice.. 25min passed with no signs of any food coming anytime soon, until they came to me with the wrong starter and the mains all at the same time, had to cancel the strater as there was no point of waiting again for god knows how long and having the starter after my mains, I also had to wait even further as they didn't bring any cutlery with the food. The lobster main itself was a huge disappointment, smallest lobster I have ever seen, salad and chips were delicious to be fair, but def not worth £25,nonetheless ate my food drank my Pepsi which at this point 30min later has now become just icy water with Pepsi suryp, to add insult to injury, there weren't a single apology made by any of the staff. Won't be...

Excellent restaurant in a great location. Staff were very good, although the 12.5% service charge left a bitter taste in the mouth, and the menu isn't vast. Food was really good - starters of the fish board, my own mussels and, most surprisingly, hummus and flatbread were all good. I say surprisingly about the hummus as it can be a little drab but this was really excellent. My partner opted for mussels for the main and they were tasty although the actual shellfish were very small and the sauce was a little bland. The fish and chips were declared excellent but were a little expensive. Two of us opted for the "smoked haddock Welsh rarebit" which proved to be one of the tastiest dishes l have had in a good while. However we were both surprised that it was just fish, cheese and cucumber - if ever a dish cried out for some new potatoes to bulk it out a little... Our hosts are regulars there and made their surprise known and a free portion of chips and side salad were provided, making it the meal it should have been. Good restaurant, great location but I remain surprised by the size of my mains. Would...

Wow, so glad that a couple of other restaurants in Exmouth couldn't seat a party of 8, we were greeted at the front desk by a wonderful hostess, and shown to our tables. we had the option of placing the tables together to sit all 8, but we asked for the 4 young teens to be seated at the other side of the restaurant to help us enjoy our evening better ..😄😀😂. The menu wasn't huge, but we tried a varied selection, the children's portions were huge and the burgers were delicious (as my son couldn't finish his 🍔 chef made patty by the taste of it from prime steak. Anyways I'm waffling on, the drinks were fairly priced as was the food, the fresh fish and chips, the fantastic belly pork and the guinea fowl, all tasted great and nothing was left.. top marks. And thank you. Will visit again. Overall a fantastic dog friendly (paws on floor) restaurant, with cracking...
