We live in Sidmouth and I wanted somewhere different for my husband’s birthday. I decided on The Upper Deck after seeing the menu on line. We ate there yesterday for lunch and from the friendly greeting to paying the bill the whole experience was just great. As for the fish and chips, the cod still had its skin on, and it tasted terribly sea-like/brine. Chips were basically greasy starch fingers. I'd made this reservation and I'm SO GLAD I did. Although the mussels weren't available, the meal was amazing. Even had my husband (sworn seafood hater) indulging in scallops!
From start to finish (with the Dark Chocolate tart)...no complaints here.
