Larders Coffee Bar — Restaurant in East Lindsey

Went in with my wife today. We are both late 60's and like most of the other customers we were wearing masks when we entered to protect other people from the potential of us asymptomatically having covid and passing it on. After being breathed over at close quarters by two members of staff, I asked the young man serving why the staff were not wearing masks. He said "it's because we don't have to" to which I replied "so you don't care about your customers safety then". He then said "we do care but it was a matter or personal preference". With Omicron rates soaring and people still dying I can't understand the mentality of any business that deliberately risks their customers health for personal preference. Perhaps they won't complain when another lockdown occurs and they don't get anymore tax payer support, but many will. Anyway as a matter of "personal preference" I won't be going there again EVER and I urge all right minded people to carefully consider the real value of a lunch served by staff who don't appear to value your health. When I stepped into the cafeteria, I felt so relaxed and happy, and it was before I even got served by the most joyous lady ever; she was so sweet and turned my mood even better than it was. ❤️ I could feel the happiness coming out of her (will update this review later by adding her name because she deserves these words). I am a customer at the nail salon next door; I will come here to enjoy delicious coffee every time. I am picky with my coffee, but here is the best coffee I've had in a while. Also, I met the gentleman who was an absolute buoyant energy ball. 💥 He mentioned that they will deliver the coffee to me if needed- AMAZING.

There are a few tables downstairs, and there are more upstairs

I had an amazing bacon and cheese toastie. I chose it on white bread. It was toasted to my liking of brown. The bacon had been cut up inside and mixed with the cheese. The bacon was well cooked but tender. The cheese was white with a strong flavour.

The hot chocolate was chocolaty without being bitter.

The staff were friendly and attentive.
