We went in for the 1st a few weeks ago as I see on there Facebook page they have a gluten free menu, so we went in & sat at a table & my sister was looking through the menu, no sign of the gluten free menu so it became apparent I had to ask for it, after making my choice I went up to order a tuna panini, the young girl said its not a panini but its bread, so I said no thank you I want a panini, she then repeated its not a panini its bread, so I said ok ill have the baguette then, she then replied again its not a baguette its bread. I was really confused & said i dont want the bread its to dry, so I asked why was a pinini & baguette advertised if there not available & she said it's as bread, if they didn't have on the day why just say "sorry we have no gluten free panini's or baguettes today" id have said thank you for letting me know but the young girl never said just got frustrated at the fact that she was telling me its bread so as we went to walk out she rolled her eyes & says "cor ive already explained it to ya" so i said i know the difference between panini & sliced bread ill take my custom elsewhere thank you. Talk about rude on our 1st visit & needless to say It was...
Read moreCame here with my 84 year old mum and my Son with Special Needs, my mum finds it very difficult to walk so has use of a compact mobility scooter. There was a ramp at the entrance so though great lets go and have a cuppa and a slice of cake. We got my mum settled and her scooter was well tucked away between us, the café was more or less empty, one of the members of staff came out and asked us to move the scooter outside due to Health and Safety....like I said the café only had two other individuals in it was not even busy and we tucked the scooter away between us. We were appalled at this and we made our leave, people with disabilities should not be discriminated and that is how we felt. My Son was so upset for his Grandma. If it had been a wheel chair would we have been asked to leave the wheel chair outside also ...this is a form of transport also for the disabled...We will not be visiting this cafe again and I think they need to review their Policy for users of any...
