Like most people of late, going out for a meal has been a thing of the past but what a pleasant surprise it was to eventually head out and try The Mansion House, after hearing great reports.
Needless to say, we weren't disappointed, from entering to leaving, the staff were knowledgeable, very polite and nothing was too much trouble.
We dined on a Sunday and although the menu wasn't huge, it catered for all, including a few local favourites.
The starters, mains and pud we're all excellent, I myself went for the local Lincolnshire Poacher loaf for starters followed by an excellent Roast Beef main and gave the pud a miss, although my fellow diners didn't and they were more than happy with their pud.
All starters were excellent, my main was probably the best Roast Beef I've had anywhere and the accompanying vegetables were cooked to perfection.
The value for money is fantastic, the food and service excellent ...., and if you've not eaten here before - I suggest you do.
Thank you to all the staff at The Mansion House and we will all look forward to seeing...
Read moreYesterday, spontaneously I made a reservation for 3 for lunch - one of us being pescetarian and an allergy to prawns and mushrooms.
Our meal and service was WONDERFUL! Not only did the person note the allergies, at the reservation stage, she checked again as we placed our order in person. Loved that the vegan/vegetarian menu was separate AND had a number of choices. We were greeted warmly and our drinks order taken by a very pleasant mature gentleman. Our waitresses were friendly, attentive, kind and knew the dishes.
The courgette fritters were F A B U L O U S! Portion sizes were very good. Everyone loved their flavourful dishes, and we left full and with pleasant memories. Definitely has to be repeated. THANKS to all the staff, you were appreciated, and...
Read moreMy wife and I went for afternoon tea at the Mansion House, Louth yesterday and wow, what an experience. Everything was over and above what we expected. Perfect in fact. The food was absolutely wonderful with a delicious selection of savouries, sandwiches, scones, cakes and so much more. The ambience of this lovely building was a wonderful setting and the food was scrumptious - and lots of it! The staff were attentive, wonderful and very helpful. My wife has previously had afternoon tea at The Ritz in London and she commented that this experience even topped that. There was a talented musician playing a grand piano which added to the overall atmosphere. We’re lucky to have such a great venue so...
