We visited Montebello Ristorante last night for our final holiday meal out after finding them on TripAdvisor. I messaged on Facebook to book a table and got a response really quick even though the restaurant was closed at that point, they were happy to accommodate 8 of us + a baby at the time we requested & at short notice. We had 5 starters, 6 adult mains, 2 child mains including pudding and 4 deserts- 2 to take away which is fabulous, and around 3 drinks each (soft & alcohol) and the bill came to just under £200. The food was absolutely delicious, one of the best Italian meals we've had Everything was cooked to perfection and great portion sizes. The kids menu inparticular needs a mention, for £6.50 they had a pizza or pasta dish, portions were huge but still demolished by my little ones and the price included a scoop of ice cream for pudding, amazing value for money! The lady who served us was so friendly and nothing was too much even when she was the only waitress & bar tender on that night, an absolute credit to this amazing family run business. Without a doubt, if & when we return to Louth, we will be back....

Wow. Having eaten in many Italian restaurants and with strong links to Italy, we’re not easily impressed (as our standards are understandably high) but this was “Sepciale!”
We visited during Aug 2020 (so post lockdown rules were in place) and we were seated, welcomed and served exceptionally well.
The setting was superb, comfortable and spacious.
The wine list is small but expertly chosen.
The food was authentic and delicious.
If we lived here, we’d visit often!
We were recommended this restaurant by a friend on Facebook who lives locally so clearly the local word is getting out.
The price is slightly higher than the rest of town but by their own admission they need to balance the quality of the food to the price.
It’s WORTH IT - please try it.
Stunning food, setting, service, and more.
This is what local cuisine is about.
Well done and thank you.
Our only down mark is that you’re not in Warwick where we...
Read moreMy advice: don't go! We had a reservation for 7pm and arrived there on time. However, instead of being made to feel welcome, one of the first things we were told is that we had to be out by 9pm! This should have been an indication of what was to come... The food itself was fine and nothing was particularly wrong with it, however the waitresses buzzed around our table desperate to remove our plates and get us out of there as quickly as possible. At quarter to 8 the waitresses barely left us alone. In one case, the waitress actually came over and took a plate as one of our party was reaching for the food! It was appalling service and none of our party would consider going back any time soon. There appears to be a culture of just trying to get as many people in and out as possible. This is understandable from a pure business perspective but really ruins the experience. I would definitely not recommend this place and, if I could give 0...
