I go into the Bridge most weeks. The beer is always good, well kept, with a good selection to choose from. Can't fault the beer. The Burgers and outside area were also great over the good Friday weekend....... Now here's the negatives: On the last 2 visits, the tables were really dirty, so either 'had not been cleaned at all", or "had not been cleaned properly " There were lots of empty glasses on our table and the unoccupied adjacent table (20 ISH), so no one had tidied up for a while since the previous occupants of that table had left; and no one came over to collect them during our stay either. There were also 2 young ladies stood at the bar (pub side) scrolling on their mobile phones, taking up approx 75% of the bar frontage, making no effort to be courteous and move over slightly, leaving a small gap at the end for everyone else in the pub to queue up and get served. [I did over hear a couple of other chuntering about this] Perhaps they were friends of the bar staff? Perhaps there would have been more room to get served at the bar and the tables may have been a bit tidier if these people weren't distracting the bar staff? I have left 5 stars for the food, and 2 for service and atmosphere. This averages out at 3 stars, which I think is a fair and...
Read moreHave been to, and loved this place for years. Since the merge between Burton Bridge and Heritage Brewing, the pub are serving up a wider variety of ales which is always good to see, and makes it more interesting to visit, and more frequently!
Inside, the pub is traditional and cosy. Some more comfortable seating wouldn't go amiss in the front part of the pub but it's fine. The rear part is lovely and plush with an open fire.
A new addition is the beer yard which is very welcome and gets some good sunshine if you time it right.
There is also a skittles alley upstairs which is different and a good value night for a group. It needs some tlc but it is great fun!
Overall this is a must visit for any visiting beer fan - it's on the opposite side of town to the other ale pubs but is well...
Read moreBurton Bridge Inn is located opposite Three Queens Hotel and close to the town centre. So, it is good place for locals and tourists. It is a great pub where you can chill out. The atmosphere is not too loud, chilled and cozy. You do not have music here, you can focus on your conversation. Interior and outside is made with old style design, which gives you even more vibes for the night. The fireplace and interior makes you feel "like home". Upstairs there is a room with bowling and music. You can have some entertainment. The staff is very kind. You can try a good ale, especially now "Boris Bulldog" is on the market. We recommend this place as one of the best to go out in...
