If I could give zero stars I would. Arrived at 9.30 as a party of 8. We were ordering starters and the waiter suggested a mixed starter for us all so we agreed. That came out and was a plate of tandoori chicken cubed and mini bhajis. Main came out and whilst the curries were fine they missed off my partners rice and at least 2 naan breads. The poppadoms that came out were ONE POUND each when we saw the bill, I nearly fell off my chair. They charged us SIX POUNDS each for the dreadful starter. I brought this up with the manager and all he said was "thats what the prices are, and the poppadoms are 75p each". The bill said a pound!!!! They ran out of Malbec after ONE bottle. All in all we felt thoroughly fleeced. They just took advantage of a party that had been out for drinks beforehand. The water ordered for the table came out with 4 glasses. We asked for some for the rest of the table and they brought a GLASS of water so we asked again and finally had water for us all. Never going again and we tell as many people as possible how awful our experience was and how awful the...
Read moreWe came here for a Friday evening meal with family and friends. The restaurant is located within 5min walk from Burton town centre. Although the facade is black and white, the colours on the inside are quite balmy and welcoming. The environment was quite cozy and decorated with thought. Decent distance between the tables.
We ordered quite a few Indian dishes to share amongst 5 of us. We ordered veggie and meat dishes. We had to wait for the mains but we liked this as it was nice to have a break. They were all AMAZING!
Huge credit to the chefs, front of the house and the owner. Everyone was passionate about what they do. We were so impressed with the service. Takeaways no doubt are cheaper but the price we pay is for the whole experience and we loved it. It wasn't too pricey either.
Its indeed a little hidden gem at Burton for authentic Indian dishes. We want to return some time soon and will...
Read moreWe ordered a chicken tikka masala and a vindaloo with some Nan bread and rice. The chicken tikka masala was awful it was closer related to ketchup with chicken in it, it was vile so I called up to see if they would change it but they wouldnât. It went straight in the bin. A microwaveable curry would have been far nicer. So me and my wife shared the vindaloo which was actually really good the Nan and rice were good too and it was delivered fairly quickly. I definitely would have come back and ate here again but that masala was criminal and I wasnât very happy with the service as no solution was given to me, So I will warn anyone who is thinking of eating here to avoid the absolute disgrace of a chicken tikka masala. The chefs or management obviously arenât the best if they let that monstrosity of a dish leave the kitchen. Disgusting! Wish Iâd chose the korma instead and maybe my opinion would...
