Went to see if the café was open at around 4.20, very rude man stood behind the counter looking at his phone ignoring us. Eventually I said "are you still open?" (There were customers drinking tea etc outside) he eventually looked up and said "Not really we're packing up" then went back to looking at his phone. Woman clearing up stared at us. There's a small shop selling scarves and gifts which are quite nice in the shop, but the surly staff would put me off. (I hope this is the right café as Google sent me to this title, it's the one nearest the road next to the water). In the end it took over 50 minutes and when it did arrive it was pretty bland. Bacon was under cooked a very fatty. Bacon baguette could only be described as being in a sad state. Read moreUnfortunately I find this cafe very cramped (as I'm of the larger persuasion) and if you want service outside you can have quite a wait on your hands. If your using the cafe for food the quality I have always found to be of a decent standard. I do like to see teenagers working as I believe it grows character and confidence etc etc but if as in the past the staff is mainly teenagers it can cause its own problems when it comes to customer care.
