We visited whiles on our holiday. We had the most amazing brunch it was so big and the price was such value for money.... We didn't need to eat for the rest of the day. The staff where excellent and the TV screens are great for watching sports

Had a meal over the road, then came to this pub for our hen and stag, about 17 of us, the drinks were so cheap, staff were great and it was a great atmosphere in the pub, pool table so the guys loved it.

Watched the women's final of England versus Germany . Good service and reasonably priced drinks. No food but you can buy a local takeaway and eat there with a drink.

Went there for the first time tonight for a meal. The Waveney was staffed by a young man & young woman that know & do their jobs very well indeed, they had excellent friendly sociable customer service skills. The menu is just a normal pub menu ie: burgers, fried chicken, pizzas, curries, all day breakfast but made with very good quality ingredients that are cooked by a lady named SHARON that knows & does her job extremely well. My son & me had the fried chicken bucket for 2 with fries, coleslaw & garlic mayo dip & it was really delicious. I was able to see the food being prepared & cooked. It was a revelation to find home made crispy chicken cooked in a crumb coat cooked so perfectly that the coating was as crunchy inside as it was on the outside & the skin-on fries were hot & crispy. Another thing I noticed was that it wasn't a pub menu containing too many items that rarely get ordered, it's a menu that the cook SHARON can cope with extremely well. This pub is an oasis in a desert of pubs that can't cope with trade as well as THE WAVENEY can simply because the menu is set to the cook's capabilities thereby resulting in very good quality perfectly...

My husband and I stopped here on 2nd July on route to Hopton for something to eat and a drink at lunchtime. Was met by a friendly fella (sorry, didn't get your name, tall dark curly hair ) and Buddy the dog who said they didn't serve food bit we were welcome to go elsewhere and bring food back if we wanted to have a drink , by the fella not the dog lol!. That was after he let us use the loo! Anyways we opted for fish and chips and went back and sat in beer garden with a pint of Stella and a bottle of Heineken 00. Reasonably priced, less than £6 which we thought was good! We would definitely go back and we plan to do so one evening hopefully in 2 wks in the evening as it seems they have music etc in there..thank you for a lovely warm welcome..it makes all the difference it really does..hope to see you again soon! 😊..p.s they had the...
