I went to the restaurant this evening with my family for a birthday meal, and to say I was appalled would be an understatement, for 6 people and 1 highchair it cost a total of ÂŁ92.94 and that is not including drinks. And normally I would have no issue with paying that in a clean restaurant that we actually get food at. But this was not the case all we were able to eat was rice noodles and a few chips as all the other trays were empty. And the restaurant itself looked as though it should not even be open there were cracks all over the walls, there were power outlets that had duck tape over them, lights were hanging out of the fixtures in the ceiling. There were no proper baby changing facilities all they had were 2 chairs put together in the disabled toilet which made the disabled toilet unable to be used for people in a wheelchair as there wasnât enough room, the ramp into the restaurant for wheelchair users had a nail sticking out that would easily cause damage to the wheels or anyone that stepped on it. And most of all the staff had no customer service at all. specially a Chinese lady who was working in there, she was rude and disrespectful she told the other workers not to clear our table as we had complained and as a family member of mine was leaving she said âgoodbye donât come backâ. The only positive I can say about this place was the young man who was working there, he was kind and apologetic. If I could leave a zero star...
Read moreWe hadn't been in years, definitely pre-covid, and we used to be regulars as a family. We were used to the buffet but on a couple of occasions we dined on an evening. For the evening buffet you used to sit upstairs and order from a menu, everything was fresh and so many more options.
We didn't know what to expect when booking for a week day evening but had hoped it was like it used to be, order from menu fresh. Unfortunately it was not, it was the buffet. Not a problem as we used to enjoy the buffet.
The team were great and very on it for clearing away, all very smiley and friendly. The refurb of the seating was beautiful and the upstairs is now closed.
The food itself wasn't that good and not many options. I wanted to start with the duck wraps to find no hoisin sauce and no cucumber slices. The duck itself was lovely but the spring onion was so hard it was totally inedible. There was a couple of beef dishes, a pork dish, a couple of fish options and chicken balls. Rice & Noodles, and 2 soups. To me not much option. The desserts were literally Tesco molly's cheesecake in 2 flavours and cheap tub ice creams from the local shop plus some cut up orange in a bowl I think it was.
For the price we paid and comparing to going to somewhere like Cosmo in the city, I'd much rather go Cosmo for the money, options and quality of food.
Shame but won't return, not like it used to be but the...
Read moreWent for a meal for my aunties birthday, was 15 of us 2 of which where kids in high chairs, when trying to get our food the trays where empty. When we spoke to the male manager he was very helpful and tried to resolve this for us, but the lady was not helpful and was not polite either. Stating the price we paid was for entry not in fact for the food. It cost for 5 of us ÂŁ112 in total and we only managed to eat rice, noodles and a few chips, the other bits we wanted to eat wasnât available. The female staff member was heard telling the servers to sit down and not clear our table, and she also spoke to other customers about us which is very unprofessional, as the last member of our family was leaving and on her own the lady said bye and to never come back, she donât have to worry we wonât be back again, the high chairs where broken and one of them had mould on the straps. Not child friendly at all, it also states disable friendly but itâs not, if they canât facilitate the number of customers that where in with sufficient food then they should not let as many...
