Moss & Co Broadlands — Restaurant in East Suffolk

I have visited Broadlands every week and had a large chicken ceasar salad very regularly this visit the salad was appalling never had a ceasar salad like it, a large bowl of lettuce with 1 boiled egg, no croutons, small amount of chicken and hardly any dressing on, I did complain to the young lady on duty and she went to see the chef his response was another 2 eggs on a side plate and he said he left the croutons off for a glutton free person, my response to the waitress was if I had a allergy I would have said then her response was croutons are not on the menu, I told her not to worry it's not her fault but I will not order it again, what a disappointment for my husbands first ceasar salad and to pay all that money for a full bowl of lettuce is overpriced, inconsistency usually looses customer's, my first ceasar salad was the best I'd ever eaten and told the manageress this, 2 boiled eggs, chicken and croutons mixed in with lots of sauce, sliced chicken placed on the top so much so I couldn't eat it all and took the rest home, what a shame if you read on you will see my very first review of Broadlands :- First visit for food, I had the chicken strips in bucket with chips and slaw, the skinny fries were piping hot and the chicken was beautiful but I did ask for a plate, my husband had the belly pork with mash and leeks he thought his was just middle of the road for taste, he also said it could have done with a little apple sauce he wouldn't have it again, the service was fast and very friendly, not much atmosphere, wonderful views over the marina, lots of bench seating outside for a sunny day, 2nd visit today and just as...

I’m only rating this place a one star as they did not take my allergy seriously. I was ordered a regular cola with emphasis that it needed to be full sugar due to an allergy and was served zero. After speaking to the staff member on site to challenge the drink after a small sip, it was stated that regular coke is now coke zero and ‘that’s normal’. Luckily i had some allergy meds on hand but i was really unimpressed with the blaze attitude of the staff, and lack of decent apology. I suggest that your staff get put on a first aid course or do some training in allergy awareness especially as they work alongside food. This is such a perfect location for celebrations! We decided to have our evening wedding reception here after Abbey hosted a Christmas party last year! Yet again she did us proud, amazing venue, dedicated, attention to detail and certainly well organised! The buffet food was lovely and nice and hot, very well presented! We would like to say a huge thank you to Abbey and the team that worked on our wedding reception, we couldn't of asked for anything.
