The best place to eat in Lowestoft and one of the best in Suffolk! The pizza base is perfect, huge choice of authentic toppings and sides (I particularly like the option to add a Burrata), good sized portions and quick and friendly service. Really enjoyed the food hall atmosphere too, which is perfect for getting together with a big or small group. Hoping to get back there for a live music event soon!

Just had the sharing board from Black Dog (better name would be black shuck btw) and experienced a rare sense of, 'wow this is amazing'. Deliciousness in every component. Says for two but would easily feed three but the point is, this is a seriously elevated cheese, salami, pizza, combo board that would stand against anything I have tasted in global travels. Pure bliss.

My partner and I decided to hop on a bus and go to Southwold today. We got a little peckish and decided to eat and drink at the Lord Nelson. We ordered our drinks then our pizza. When our food came both pizza looked delicious as did the side of garlic pizza/bread. Neither of us could wait to tuck in, everything tasted as good as it looked. Everything was fresh and of good quality. We couldn't fault a thing. The atmosphere in the pub was quiet and very relaxed my partner and I struck up conversation with the bar staff which was...

Place was packed, it was a busy day and I can understand that. But when ask by the bar staff what we wanted. And explained we wanted take away. He told us to wait and someone will come take our order at the bar.

Well about 10 minutes pass with no one coming, nor it seeming overly important to the member of staff who I originally spoke with. We left.

A shame as on another less busy day I’m sure service would’ve be better. But none the less I can only judge on...

We got takeaway from the Admiral Lord Nelson in Southwold on a Friday eve. Service excellent, very fast indeed. These were absolutely the most delicious pizzas I’ve tasted in a while - they put something magic in their tomato sauce base - and great to have an alternative to fish and chips and pub grub in Southwold.
