I’ve been coming to Hyde Corner on Grove Road for some time now, and the new management has truly transformed this café into something special. The warm and inviting atmosphere, paired with an exceptionally friendly team, makes every visit a pleasure.

What sets Hyde Corner apart is its commitment to quality and authenticity. Everything is homemade and baked fresh on the premises, from their light, buttery scones to an ever-changing selection of cakes, pastries, and sweet treats. I had been abiding by the laptop usage rules written on the menu, but was informed that, in order to increase turnaround during that particular week, laptops were not allowed entirely. I get that people can't be hanging about forever, but prohibiting use of laptops in order to prevent this does not make sense. I would have been permitted to occupy a seat for as long as I wanted if I didn't use a laptop, but 30 minutes on a laptop until the closing time that day (when I was in) isn't alright? And phones are fine but laptops aren't? Placing a time limit on seating to be enforced when necessary is a better way to achieve what you're after. This place is such a gem! Myself, my partner and family and my friends adore this cafe. Such incredible food and there is a nice variety especially considering there is always delicious options for those who are gluten free, pescatarian or vegetarian and vegan etc. There is always an abundance and variation of sweet treats and savoury pastries! Honestly overwhelmed with choice but no matter how many of the different food or cake options I have tried they have never fallen short of the mark! Such a friendly and warm welcoming team as well, we are always greeted with a smile!
