Sanjha Punjab came highly recommended by a friend, but unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. We started with the aloo parantha, which was surprisingly bland and lacked any seasoning. We had to add salt to give it some flavor, and it was a shame that butter wasn't automatically served on the side.
Next, we tried the chole bathura, another letdown. The chole didn't have that authentic Punjabi taste I was hoping for, and the bhatura were overly oily; the taste of raw flour was overwhelming. Even the masala tea was too milky and lacked the robust flavor I expect.
On the plus side, the restaurant was clean, and the service was excellent—the staff were very polite and attentive. However, considering the prices, the quality of the food doesn't measure up. With so many other options on Belgrave Road, I wouldn't recommend Sanjha Punjab, as it seems not every home cook can offer restaurant-quality food.

The girl who took my order over the phone was quite rude, which made the entire process unpleasant from the start. I felt like I was being rushed and treated with a lack of basic courtesy.
As for the food, it didn't live up to expectations either. Everything was bland and lacked flavor, especially the momos, paneer curry which were particularly bad. The taste was off, and it seemed like there was little attention given to seasoning or presentation.
I had higher hopes based on their rating, but this experience didn't reflect the quality I...

I opted for the meat thali, which at £8 is very good value for money. Mango shake at £3.50 was very delicious!
The venue is a bit small, so if you go and there is seating, I highly recommend you try it. Visited with work colleagues and I am glad I went as I very rarely get to try restaurants like this when I the area.
If you want authentic, home cooked Punjabi food, make this a go to place on your list as it honestly is one of the...
