Amigo Derby — Restaurant in England

Food was 45 minutes late, I had already waited a hour then called to ask when the food might be delivered, the lady on the phone was polite enough but didn’t seem to have a clue what was happening the order came 1 hr and 45 minutes late in total. It was stone cold when it arrived so I called back and complained.. the lady on the phone again was polite and said we would receive a £5 discount I didn’t believe that was enough for a order that had arrived cold and we wouldn’t end up eating, the manager come on the phone and informed us that we were in fact wrong and that our order wasn’t cold and we should be grateful that they where still making food and helping Derby then put the phone down on us!! We are both key workers living in Mickleover one of us makes Dettol and the other is a NHS worker! This company has no regard for anyone yet alone key workers already under lots of stress. I would never use this company again just for customer service alone. Concerned...

I have a severe gluten allergy and called the restaurant to ask if their nachos were gluten free. I was then told “no they have cheese” I informed them that cheese was lactose and not gluten and I was told to look on their website for the allergen information. On the website it doesn’t state any allergen information and tells you to ask a member of staff, well obviously I did that first and the staff had no idea of the difference between lactose and gluten. After Natasha’s law was brought out in 2021 it is very very important that allergen information is easily accessible and that ALL staff members are trained in this area as it could be the difference between life or death. Unfortunately I now cannot order any food as I can’t access the allergen information and even if I could it doesn’t fill me with any confidence that staff don’t know the difference between gluten...

Amigo special quesailla was good but probably not worth 8.95. Hot kicking chicken wings had a nice bite but the breading taste like there was virtually no seasoning at all.

2: 2 years later I've tried their quesadilla deal thing and I quite liked it. Only around £6 and it came with guac, seasoned fries and two quesadillas. The fries were very nicely seasoned and the guacamole was really good. I'll bump my review up to 5 stars if amigos impresses me again.

3: I tried the fried chimmichungas with a chicken filling. The rice portion was huge. To be honest I would prefer to be able to swap the rice for fries. I was not impressed with the chicken filling at all, I could make it better myself. Not pleased with this menu option. They seem to have a loyalty scheme but evidently subsidise it by increasing...
