I've been going there on and off for several years. We've never had a bad meal yet and always look forward to our next visit. The food isn't swimming in oil and the bread is always freshly cooked. The cuisine is almost like Indian food, but with enough differences to make it worth the trip. The menu is varied and divers, if you're expecting the phaal and "chef's naga challenge", you may wish to reconsider your visit. If you're looking for a new taste experience backed up by quality and value, them this is the place for you.
Parking can be a little tricky, but again, well worth the small level of inconvenience. The walk to the car won't do you any harm and will probably help with an over full stomach.
Speaking of which, their toilet is upstairs, rather narrow stairs too. So if you're not able to climb, best before you leave the house, it's called the Mount Everest after all. Very clean and tidy though, unlike some places I've visited of late.
Back to the topic of food; everything we've had has been delightful, though not cheap well worth the outlay. The staff are lovely, always attentive and the orders are accurate, again unusual these days. Read moreOn 2nd October upon recommendation I ordered food from here for the first time and I have to say recieved the worst possible customer service. My order arrived later than expected and when it did the food was not very hot and items missing. When I rang the restaurant and explained my order was incomplete and nan breads missing I was told unfortunately our driver is really busy but will be with you shortly. 1 hour later I rang back and was told our driver is no longer available. I asked for a full refund as firstly my food was cold and secondly items missing. It's like ordering fish and chips and you don't get the chips. I was told the manager is unavailable but they will give me a call back to issue a refund. Since then I have rang numerous times and been told the same thing and not once has the manager rang me back, issued me an apology or processed my refund. I think it is extremely bad customer service and secondly terrible taking my payment, not providing me what I ordered, no refund and not even any attempt to discuss my bad experience or resolve this issue. We ordered our meal via the website and paid by card, then we waited for delivery, the time for delivery came and went, we rang them, only to be told there was no driver, and there was no record of our order and then he promptly hung up. So, we had to get into the car and go down to the restaurant [we had spent £70!]. The manager was somewhat obtuse with us and avoided answering our questions, but we finally sorted out the issue, receiving a 20% discount. As we sat and waited for our food, staff were bringing out bags of food that were then put in taxis for delivery!!! I am appalled by the attitude of the manager/owner who didn't seem to think there was a problem, I believe we were given a 20% discount to shut us up as the restaurant was full.
