I have over 40 years of experience managing more than 30 restaurants across various countries, so I speak from a place of extensive knowledge in the hospitality industry. This has to be the worst restaurant I have ever encountered.
Our ordeal began with a mussels starter that was served partly cold, partly warm, and smelled alarmingly off. When we questioned this, the staff insisted the mussels were freshly cooked. I challenged this claim by presenting a very cold mussel to our rude waitress, who had no choice but to admit it was indeed cold.
The situation worsened with the main course. We ordered seafood spaghetti alla chitarra, lobster spaghetti alla chitarra, and a pizza. The seafood spaghetti was inedible due to the same off and cold mussels, and the lobster spaghetti revealed an uncleaned lobster with visible guts upon inspection.
Adding insult to injury, the bill included a 12.5% service charge. Given the appalling service and food, I requested its removal. The waiter incorrectly insisted it was mandatory by law. I corrected him, citing the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, which states that a service charge of 5-10% is recommended but not mandatory, allowing the client to opt-out.
At this point, a man claiming to be the owner rudely intervened, speaking in Italian. He grudgingly removed the service charge but told us never to return, showing complete disregard for basic customer service. When asked why he wouldn’t speak in English, he became agitated and insisted on holding the door open for us to leave.
This restaurant is a disgrace to the food service industry and an embarrassment to Italian cuisine. Avoid it...
Read moreI was violently craving mussels for a couple of days me and my boyfriend decided to come here for a date night, and oh my god, not only did i fill my craving but it was sooo tasty i couldn’t stop eating the sauce the seafood was cooked in, the pizza was amazing, nice and spicy has a nice kick, reminded us of the time we went to sardegna in holiday and we ate pizza there, eating here was the best decision we have ever made i would recommend everyone to come here and have a dinner or lunch, we didn’t even want to eat anything else it was so filling but i managed to eat a pistachio pana cota and it was worth it 🥰 the owners are very lovely had a nice chit chat with them both, we were treated like we were their family, the atmosphere was nice and cozy even tho we sat in the beautiful garden, pricing is reasonable, you don’t pay too much, but the price you pay its so worth it for the food you get ❤️ In conclusion if you come by this place you absolutely need to eat here, it’s unique, you feel cozy and welcomed...
Read moreAs someone who isn't the biggest foodie, I must say that Amore is definitely something to rave about. From the moment we stepped in, the atmosphere was inviting and the service was impeccable, making it a truly memorable experience. We decided to try the ravioli, Napoli pizza, tiramisu, and pistachio dessert, and each dish exceeded our expectations.
I have no doubt that all the other items on the menu are prepared to the same high standards as the ones we enjoyed. The flavors were exceptional, and each dish was crafted with care and attention to detail. The ravioli was perfectly cooked, the Napoli pizza was bursting with authentic flavors, and the desserts were simply divine.
I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. Considering the quality of the food, the service, and the overall experience, the prices are more than reasonable. You will definitely find yourself wanting to come back for more. A more has truly set a high bar for dining experiences, and I can't wait to return to try more of their...
