Been ordering for (what is probably?) years now. Still astonished at how much better the pizzas are than high street 'specialist' pizza brands, you expect a kebab serving takeaway to have maybe serviceable pizzas at best, but these are next level and a 16" is spot on for sharing or saving some for the next day as they reheat better than any other pizza I've tried too. Gonna presume that's some sort of witchcraft. The garlic bread with cheese is dynamite too. However, I've very much settled into the home made Donner now, it's so damn good.... Or maybe a Donner pizza with added chicken for the best of both worlds. I'm not claiming it's fat free or anything, but it doesn't sit on you like some stodgy takeaways and has saved my 'whats for tea?' requests with glowing reviews from friends and family alike after many a long shift or hectic day. And they've never let me down once in what must be maybe hundreds of orders? Whilst the odd snafu in an order doesn't bother me; takeaways are busy, especially at a weekend, I get that; I've never had to complain or even forgive a mistake once with Antalya, and 100% consistency is a record even their best competitors can't claim, with us at least. If someone in the group says pizza or kebab and Antalya are open, I don't bother looking any further anymore; it's just a waste of time to order what is bound to be, at best, the second nicest food I...
Read moreTraveled up from London late Friday night - Antalya seemed the only place open close to the hotel. In hindsight seeing a frozen nearly finished lump of meat being chucked on the kebab grill should have been a warning, but a few Coronas took away any form of doubt - once served a radiated red portion of tandoori meat we headed back to the hotel. Opening out box of nuclear waste and trying a single chip that turned out to be harder than Lenny McLean I decided chips are enough. On to the meat - it was horrific. Had about half the box as hunger and alcohol took control but still didn't finish this cuisine thank god. The following day, throwing up everywhere - non stop toilet breaks - more skid marks than the M6. Even today my stomach don't feel right and I'm only eating simple foods to not get in a bad way again.
My advise would be to not use this place unless you are seriously looking to poison someone, in that case Antalya...
