Their food is not made freshly and is left sitting around all day in hot temperatures. No refrigeration or air conditioning.

I was served a sandwich with spoiled bacon that I had to spit out and almost vomited. The taste in my mouth for 5 minutes was rancid, sour & rotten. Refunded but still had to pay for my coffee.

Some possible constructive advice for Artefood chefs: bad bacon can cause salmonella poisoning as there is a high risk of containing large amounts of bacteria including staphylococcus, salmonella, bacillus, clostridium and e-coli. Food-borne bacteria such as salmonella and staphylococcus aureus can cause food poisoning so acute it can lead to hospitalisation, with several days' worth of severe pain, fever, nausea and vomiting. In extreme cases, it can cause death. Spoiled bacon will taste sour due to bacteria forming on it. So always make sure to examine your bacon carefully before cooking. I owned a chain of coffee shops for many years, but sold the last one in 2018. Creating a warm, community environment is difficult in a chain, but it was our main focus and more often than not we got it right. But even on our best days, we were never as good as these guys are, even probably on their worst days! Exceptional ice cream (home made by professional chef and owner, Alex, no less!), one of the best coffees I have ever had (and I have 100's of thousand myself don't forget) and perfect, professional, friendly service from Manuella. My family discovered this place by accident on Sunday when on a day trip to Windsor yesterday and ended up chatting with the owners for some time. We will definitely be back to try more of the goodies on show. Great local Italian cafe/lounge. Its family run with great food and service. I'm gradually converting all my cycling pals to its delights.

In the meantime I'm awaiting summer sun and warmer temperatures so I can eat ice cream/gelato.

Summer update. Ice cream burgers: these are very light donught with an ice cream burger filling. I had mango and my cycling pal had black cherry ripple. More reasons to visit.

Another reason to visit is that they have done a small refurbishment. Fortunately food, coffee and service remain A1+

Winter 2022. Stopped there on my final ride doing Festive 500 ( that is 500km cycling between 00:01 Xmas Eve and 23:59 New Year's Eve). Great coffee and an exceptional Cannoli Sciciliana, it was like dying and going to heaven!!!!

May 2023 Still my favourite spot to stop for mid-ride coffee. Always a delight. Staff and proprietors, as ever, are delightful...
