The first time I went to this restaurant was a good experience. The wings were great and apart from getting our order wrong, the service was ok. That being said, the second time was so bad we paid up for what we had and left.
We'd booked a table for 7pm and (admittedly we arrived 10 minutes early) when we arrived we were told to come back in 30 minutes as our table wasn't ready. Not the end of the world, we just grabbed a pint down the road. We returned hungry and read to scoff some wings, we were greeted by a staff member with a blank look as if she didn’t remember asking us to come back. The table we were sat at had empty bottles on which were cleared but the table wasn't wiped and the napkins weren't replaced. A bit gross but, hey, we are hungry! We were given menus and ordered within 5 minutes of sitting down. 10 wings, a drink each and a bowl of chips to share. We were told we had an hour as the kitchen shut at 8:30. The wing Wednesday gives you an hour from the moment your first plates arrives so we still had an opportunity for a nice meal. We waited around 20 minutes for our drinks and around 40 minutes for SOME of our wings. We are fairly sure ours had to be remade as they were given to one of the five other tables. We saw other tables who came in after us get (suspicipusly) exactly what we'd ordered which wasn't enough for them and one of the wait staff tried to bring us someone else drinks and approached the wrong tabes several times. Mistakes happen but rather than coming clean the staff just said ‘your food is just being plated’. We sat patiently waiting for our food, watching the group of lads next to us nicking half made drinks off the bar (as well as from the fridges) and being occasionally hit over the head with the bags by the several deliveroo riders that came to pick up orders. Seems like there was more takeaway orders going out than food being served to people sitting in the restaurant.
After 40 minutes we got ten of the twenty wings. The wings were excellent, I can't fault the food here in the slightest. 50 minutes after sitting, the table behind us, clearly bored of waiting for food, scored a paper airplane in one of our drinks and the rest of our 'all you can eat' wings no where to be seen, we paid up for what we'd eaten and left. Leaving all of the fries and most of our drinks on the table.
It's such a shame that we had a rubbish experience at a restaurant that does such great wings. The staff were apologetic and we don't necessarily blame them. This is seemily poor management and lack of support for inexperienced staff. More staff (or better training) is clearly needed. There didn’t seem to be any sign of a ‘Manager’ present at all and customers are left to behave poorly and treat staff badly ruining the experience for others. It probably should have been a red flag that tables that were already sat before us were complaining of similar issues. Sad to say I probably...

We arrived at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, July 23rd, and were greeted by our server, Jake. From the moment we arrived, Jake was incredibly accommodating, taking our drink orders promptly before heading off to process them. He returned quickly with our drinks, and his friendly demeanor made the experience all the more enjoyable.
Two of us opted for the unlimited wings deal, and two others chose the wings-only unlimited option. One person wasn't hungry, and the last chose a regular meal. For the value we received, we were extremely impressed. The food was delicious, and the service was exceptional. The variety of chicken flavours available was fantastic, and I must say, my favourite was the Hot Honey — absolutely delicious and packed with flavor!
The only thing I'd mention is that the restaurant is a bit small, so it’s definitely recommended to book in advance — we did so a week ahead of time. However, the atmosphere inside was warm and inviting, making it a comfortable spot to enjoy our meal. We think they should consider moving to a larger space to accommodate more guests!
I want to end by giving a huge shout out to Jake and the whole Bare Bones team! The atmosphere was great, and the service was top-notch. We truly appreciate all the hard work the team puts in, and we will definitely be recommending this spot to our friends. We’re looking forward to coming...
Read moreREAL HONEST REVIEW. Wow where do i start, not sure why this place is so hyped up as it is not great, wing stop bluewater much nicer food and service and that is saying something as wingstop is much busier! The service from the girl with glasses. was absolutely shocking, i had to beg for a pint and then she forgot it so i had to ask for it again. Additionally she went over to the table that was a larger group by the window and said “how was your food, can i get your something else” while not ONCE did she ask how my food was, during or after my meal. Also she did not offer me another drink (even though i made it so obvious i had finished my drink and i was sitting right next to the waitress) I had to negotiate with her to ask if i could have 3 tenders and 2 wings and i was happy to pay the higher price of £9, she mentioned the owners don’t like us doing that. Now on the wings they are average at best, the tenders are okay but need much more sauce and are small also avoid the Mayo as it tastes like yoghurt. The portion of fries was tiny. Honestly much better places with bigger portions for the same price or less, popeyes dartford, wingstop bluewater just to name a few. This place must have...
