BEST restaurant in Maidenhead. My friend and I were treated to the most amazing host, Inder, he is so friendly, knowledgeable, personable, presentable and really took pride in the restaurant and menu offering many suggestions , all of which we tried and fell in love with! Bombay Story are lucky to have such a dignified and attentive employee passionate about his work and thoughtful of his customers. Inder, you should be proud of yourself, not everyone is like you! One of the best service experience we've had in any restaurant and we've been to MANY across the country so thank you sososo much for making our evening. Good service really makes a difference - the food could be amazing but if the service is not good, then...... Thankfully tonight we were blessed with good food AND good service!

As for the food, it was all beautifully presented, huge compliments to the chef for the attention to detail. If you're in Maidenhead and want award worthy dishes, go to Bombay Story. The flavours are incredible, I particularly recommend the avocado dumplings, cheese and chilli naan, peshawari naan, lamb biryani and paneer masala. There is a whole menu dedicated to vegan dishes too so there is something for everyone! Some dishes can be tailored to your preference regarding allergies and spice tolerance which is really thoughtful and makes for an easy going dining experience, perfect for groups.

The ambience and decor are both top notch too as well as the cocktail menu. A selection of exciting and unique drinks, I am excited to return so I can try even more because they all look so beautiful and sound amazing, I particularly recommend the Bollywood Martini.

Thanks for an amazing dining experience as always ! Will be coming back and recommending to everyone I know with a love for...

Bombay Story INDIAN KITCHEN & BAR proved to be a fantastic venue for our family Diwali and Gujarati New Year celebration. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by an attentive and friendly staff, ensuring that our experience was seamless from start to finish. It was lunch time so, the atmosphere was just right for a catch up with the family, making it an ideal spot for any kind of celebration. The drinks menu was impressively vast, featuring a range of options from creative cocktails to non-alcoholic drinks and a selection of wines plus lots more. There was truly something for everyone.

However, the highlight of the lunch was undoubtedly the food, a cliche but it was an explosion of flavors with every bite.

Some standout dishes that we loved included the cheese and chilli naan bites, which were a perfect blend of spice and comfort, the truffle-infused plant based kebabs and the Lamb Bhuna, rich and expertly spiced to name a few. Every dish showcased the restaurant’s dedication to authentic and bold flavors. Though we were too full to try the desserts, we left determined to return and explore more of the menu. Bombay Story is a place we’d recommend for anyone looking for great food, a welcoming atmosphere, and excellent service. We can’t wait for...

Though this restaurant has a lovely feel and the food is nice, it feels as though they've sacrificed portion sizes/accompaniments to try to get more money out of customers. Our 'nibbles' turned out to be a sliced up cheesy naan. I had a vegetarian kofta dish for main around £14, which comprised of four golf ball sized dumplings in a lovely sauce. I had so much sauce left over after I'd used as much as I could on the dumplings and paratha. My partner ordered the lamb biryani, which consisted of a large portion of rice littered with tiny bits of lamb, a dish of raw red onion and an enormous pot of raita. It might be traditional, but we've never had a biryani without a saucy vegetable curry given alongside. It worked out ok in the end because he just used my excessive sauce to ease the rice down. We wanted to order a beer and tap water, but on offering were told that there was an offer on cocktails. We said that we didn't cocktails just a beer and felt there was a disappointment from the waitress. A clear strength was the range of vegetarian options that were genuinely interesting and well thought out, but I don't think that's enough to get me back...

Really excited to try this new indian restaurant, and it did not disappoint. The menu is a mix of inventive and authentic indian cuisine, with the starters more on the inventive side and the mains on the authentic side. The main dishes were bursting with flavour, and were super homely. The gulkand kheer was amazing, must try. The kitchen staff were lively and had big smiles on their faces - you can tell they’re passionate about what they cook up. Will be coming back again to try other things on the menu, but would probably skip the starters next time. Our only feedback is - Vegetarian options felt a bit limited. The avocado dumplings chaat was on the dryer side. Paneer butter masala was too sweet. And worth noting that if you’re a group of 2 people - you will be squeezed into a tiny space against the columns in the middle of the restaurant which was quite uncomfortable and left us with little room for even our food. They wouldn’t let us switch tables despite there being empty tables throughout our entire duration there, and said that they can only accommodate the more comfortable seating locations for people who call to book instead of book online.
