Café Beans — Restaurant in England

I recently dined at cafe beans and, unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory.

First and foremost, the food was incredibly bland. Each dish lacked the flavor and seasoning one would expect, making the overall dining experience quite disappointing. There was no standout dish, and everything tasted underwhelming and uninspired.

Additionally, the service left much to be desired. The staff seemed inattentive and uninterested in providing a good customer experience. We had to repeatedly flag down our server for basic requests, and there was a noticeable lack of hospitality.

The interior of the restaurant was also quite dated. It felt like the decor hadn't been updated in years, which added to the overall feeling of neglect. The ambiance did not contribute positively to the dining experience and could definitely use a refresh.

To top it off, the timing of the food service was poorly managed. Our dishes did not come out at the same time, causing some of us to wait while others had already received their meals. This lack of coordination was frustrating and disrupted the flow of our meal.

Overall, cafe beans did not meet expectations on multiple fronts. I would not recommend it unless significant improvements are made in food quality, service,...

We have often visited this cafe over the years and liked it very much, but in a recent visit we were ushered to a tiny round table with 2 chairs crammed up against the counter. I said I thought it was cramped and would like a different table. Only to be told that the tables for 4 were saved for larger parties. There were only 2 of us, but the table was barely big enough to hold two coffees, let alone add a couple of plates. So close to the counter you wouldn't have been able to move your arms to eat. There were loads of empty tables and only about 3 tables in the whole cafe had occupants. It was mid afternoon in November. We walked out and went round the corner to the Fortes Cafe. Lovely cake and good food. Delicious lcecream and you could sit where you liked. No cramped little tables. Much more friendly staff and great prices. Needless to say, this is where we will be eating when we visit...

Was shown to a table not 2 metres away from the person directly behind me on next table. Others were walking passed us to get to tables. Not well designed at all central tables should not of been used. Sat for a few moments realising no one was coming to give us a menu so I got up took one from another table unsure whether it had been santised . Ordered at counter the coffee bought to table no sugar had to ask. Sandwiches were bought to table with side salad but no cutlery had to ask again. Customer service awful.
