Disappointing Experience from Start to Finish

My recent visit to Zahshah was, unfortunately, a disappointment. From the confusing menu to the unappetizing food and unprofessional service, there was little to redeem the experience.

First, the food: we decided to order just the starters, but they fell far below our expectations. The taste was lackluster and unappealing, which led us to skip the main course altogether. If the starters couldn't impress, we didn't want to risk further disappointment.

Adding to the confusion, the menu featured a dish named "Garlic Paneer Makhmali," which is clearly labeled as a vegetarian option. However, the description stated it contained spiced chicken. When we inquired about this, the waiter curtly informed us that the dish includes both paneer and chicken. This contradiction was baffling and left us questioning the attention to detail in the kitchen.

To make matters worse, when the bill arrived, we were informed of a policy requiring a minimum spend of £12.50 per person. This rule was never communicated to us beforehand, and only surfaced after we chose not to continue with the main course. When our total didn’t meet this arbitrary requirement, the waiter began making faces, clearly annoyed by our decision. This unprofessional behavior was the final straw.

Overall, the poor food quality, misleading menu, and rude service made this visit highly unsatisfactory. I would not recommend to anyone looking for a pleasant...

lady from Somerset I have eaten here before with my partner but tonight when i visited i was given Crabs which i ordered except it was a large clean crab shell which when i lifted off there was just a light brown mushy soup like content with onion but no crab before ordering i asked the waiter what it was and he just could not explain i took it that he knew no English the second one i believe from North London did but he then disapeared I could niether see taste or smell any crab at all! i was given £5.00 off after having to call and explain and i felt quite embarrased and dissapointed I also felt rushed with my order there were two waiters stood staring at me whilst i studied the menu but didnt seem to want to help me choose Initially i wanted lamb i just wish i had ordered a plain lamb curry as this dish was £20 it was my birthday and my partner was stuck in Bristol so couldnt make it I have eaten crab before so i know what it should taste like and the shell was clean so i doubt it was taken from the shell i could have made better at home with a tin of crab and made the curry as i am good at that but i wanted a rest and...

Staying at a holiday park nearby and was recommended this place. Was off to a great start with service over the phone when ordering! However, went very downhill when some of the chicken was raw. Working in a kitchen, we understood that sometimes it happens and asked for a partial refund but was rudely accused by the manager that it was not their chicken as they’d done some checks in the kitchen. As explained to them, we understood that it could’ve been an off chance but complete denial was shocking! Will be taking this further as the experience was horrible when we tried to be reasonable with them as the other food was great until we were put off.
