Taste of the Orient — Restaurant in England

WORST take away we’ve ever had. I am 8 months pregnant and scared after eating a few mouthfuls of this food, that I’ll end up with food poisoning in a few days. If I could rate zero, I would.

Ordered from here as we fancied lettuce wraps, and didn’t even end up eating them because the whole order was stone cold!

The spare ribs were stuck in a jelly like substance, the bones and meat in them were freezing! Like they’d just come out of the fridge.

The chicken in the curry was disgusting, like eating balls of fat.

Chicken balls bland, lettuce wrap mixture and everything else was just pure cold.

My husband called up and told them it was appalling, they had the cheek to tell us to drive back and return the whole order. When my husband arrived they checked everything returned as if we were lying!

No apology given. Would never ever...

We had the absolute pleasure of dining here a few years ago, ended up eating here 3 nights out of our 7 night stay there, the food was so good. Yes I know, I'm late posting this, but my point is, we are staying in Burnham On Sea again next week and this is the first place we will be heading out to for dinner. Food was just too delicious to list here, but personally I had the Satay Chicken and can honestly say this is the best I've ever had from a Chinese restaurant. You can just tell that the food is freshly cooked and well worth waiting a little longer for. Just a small piece of advise, it is better to prebook if you plan on eating here on a weekend. Lovely welcome upon arrival and order taking by friendly waiting staff on a very quiet evening, but unfortunately my thai fishcakes were severely overcooked that they were hard and inedible with a paltry amount of chilli sauce to accompany them, quite a small portion of overdone brown chips, I requested mixed meat szechuan without carrots but had carrots in it and to top it all off there was a long blonde hair nestled in the middle of my egg fried rice!!
