Shah Indian Cuisine — Restaurant in England

Visited here with my partner. Food was great, customer service was absolutely awful. We weren't welcomed in at all and they had no idea about our booking. The restaurant was full and it was clear they were unable to cope under the pressure. They were more intrested in serving bigger parties than tables of 2 so we were forgotten about the whole time. Had to ask multiple times to order a drink, then when we did finally order, it took so long to arrive, same happened again with the food, we were seeing larger groups being very well looked after, being asked if they could get them anything, if their food was ok and being served immediately. When the food did arrive it was very nice, couldn't fault it but the time it took just to order was ridiculous, we ordered two of the same mains and 1 side, our table was booked for 7.30pm we didn't get out until almost 10pm! I would not visit again, or recommend based on the service, very disappointed! *Also if you book online, remember to ask for your deposit to be deducted off your bill as they will NOT deduct it automatically and once paid, it will not...

We ordered a starter and waited ⓗⓞⓤⓡ before we went up and asked if it will be coming out soon. The waiter thought we had already received our starter. So that wasn’t great. Then we had our main meal (we received a “free” 2nd starter). The actual curry was a bit flavourless but OMG it was the best most juiciest most amazing chicken I had ever had in my entire life. I ordered the banquet meal which was a starter a main a side a curry/main then a naan or rice and then ice cream. The naan I ordered was cheese but when it came out it was garlic with cheese on it so idk if that was a mistake in the kitchen or what it was eventually we Finnish our mean we got charged extra for the “free” stuff and I DIDNT GET MY ICECREAM witch I still payed for so yeah idk what I think of this place if I didn’t feel BAD for the waiter it would be 0 stars but it...

Had an Indian take away for the first time in the area and was looking forward to it as It was a special occasion. First impressions were good, staff were polite and prices were fair. So far so good ... until we took the food home and tried it. I have tried many Indian restaurants for the past 6 years and that one was one of the worst . Had no authentic flavours (as it claims to have ) , chef's special was extremely bland and tasted exactly the same as a normal jalfrezi dish which happened to be our other choice. Tandoori mix as a starter ... laughable portion ... had no tandoori flavour whatsoever... . And the thing about it is that if you have never tried an Indian before you would think this is how it is and it isn't! It's like restaurants are not even...
