Great local cafe, situated close by Tatton Park, serving a wide range of tasty, well priced fare. Very family friendly and recently refurbished to make it even more accessible for those with prams or walking aids (once you get past the few entrance steps).

The menu ranges from drinks and light bites (tea/coffee/milkshakes/cakes etc.) through to filling lunchtime meals of omelettes, paninis and more. However, take the time to explore their Turkish selection of dishes. Kebabs, mezes, and so on - well seasoned and cooked fresh on their grill.

There is seating on two floors inside, with limited seating outside in a small courtyard. It's popular spot with locals and visitors alike, always busy but only rarely absolutely full. That said, you can book ahead if you have a larger party and need the seating guaranteed, especially at the weekend lunchtime peak.

Staff are friendly and attentive, and you do not often find yourselves waiting for service.

In addition to the on site dining they also offer an extensive range of takeaway options that cover most of their main range of popular dishes, plus things like breakfast sandwiches and take out beverages.

All in all a cherished part of the community and well worth a visit if...

Originally went to the Penny Farthing Cafe as this had been recommended to us. But didn't like the atmosphere or attitude of staff so walked out of there & came here instead. Far nicer. We were acknowledged as soon as we walked in & indicated we could sit where we wanted. Within a couple of mins we were asked what we would like to drink & a few mins later what to eat. I chose a large latte & chocolate fudge cake with ice cream & hubby black americano & apple pie & cream. Ladies toilet was spotless, always a good sign of the place being hygienic. Food was excellent. Cake I could actually taste fudge & hubby said the apple pie was delicious. We enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere & stayed for a further coffee each. The staff were very friendly & professional & the whole lot came to about £16. We saw some of the meals being served & they all looked nice. We had a chat with one of the members of staff about the cakes/pies & said who made them & chatted about the cakes she liked to bake. Lovely friendly atmosphere. Will defo...

Food was mid, it was okay. Half my order was missing and I had to ask for the rest and then my food went cold while i waited for the rest of my order. The plates were cold so obviously food went cold very quick.

Coffee was really weak when I asked for an extra shot - wasn't great.

We felt like towards the end of our visit we were being forced out so they could give the table to someone else - I hadn't finished my coffee and we were told to pay at the counter when ready and instead had a card machine thrust at us. The staff were then passively aggressively clearing the table around us until we felt uncomfortable and left. It's a sit down cafe, not a takeaway?

Lastly, the service bell in the kitchen did not stop ringing and it was very annoying. Yes, I understand what it's used for, however it was unnecessary how many times it was rang for a single order (I could see the pass...

Our experience was poor, food felt very low quality and bland. Nothing against the service, it was OK. The place is not the best kept and needs some tlc. To top it all off we only realised it just had a 3/5 for hygiene rating on our way out because the cafe has placed the rating in a barely visible discreet location that you can't see from outside! Would not have eaten here if we had known this, and the food reflected the score.

Food was a huge disappointment! Steak was so fatty and inedible, eggs greasy! Bacon, sausage ok but beans hard and Luke warm! The chef needs lessons. To pay £22 for this will live with me for ever! Food arrived in less than 5 minutes which gave a huge warning sign! Obviously been sat in a hot plate and not freshly cooked!

Popped in for a sweet treat. Nothing special. Had scones which were warm but were fairly small and no cream to go with them. 1 little butter portion with jam. Could be made so much prettier inside with nice flowers and tablecloths and music etc. Paid at the door as service slow. Non attentive staff.
