Pastiche — Restaurant in England

Normally a restaurant that still feels like its family run, tonight we went there and felt totally ignored by the owners, even after asking to speak to them. Ordered the food asked for starters and Mains, they sent the cheese/tomato bread out first which wasn't one of the starters, then everything came out at once, it was to much all at once, they then offered to box it up for takeaway, then decided it was better not to offer it me but just take it off the bill. Not a great experience tonight, been going there for years and never felt like anything was to much trouble has always been a pleasure before. but will think twice now. There are so many other restaurants...

We've been a couple of times for food, both times we were given a warm welcome and friendly service.

On our last visit, we had tapas. We ordered quite a lot and the chef came to our table and advised us that their portions weren't small and should probably order less. We're so glad she did this, what we ordered was ample enough for the 5 of us.

The food came out at a steady rate and none of the dishes disappointed. Considering the service, the quantity and quality of the food, we were thrilled with the final bill.

We're due to go back again and look forward to...

Service was not friendly, as they had only one table used inside. So all of the venue was almost free, they had plenty of tables and space. At 9pm asked if that was okay to have just a drink. They just apologize were only having guest for having food. Was unfortunate and think they could have used some of the empty tables there.

Answer to the owner: so you mean that one cannot go, sit and have a coffee at your place and do some work? What kind of license do you have? The COVID restrictions were not in place when this review...
