Free goodbye coffee - How nice ! For the past three years of travelling from Paris to Falmouth, my first and last stops have always been Castle Beach Cafe. Since Emily opened the cafe, this beautiful and discreet beach has become the most charming and welcoming place I’ve ever visited. You’ll find addictive homemade recipes, high-quality coffee, and nonstop smiles and kindness. It’s clear that this place is driven by a sense of community, and it feels warm to experience such dynamism while on holiday! I’ve been going there every day each summer and can wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone! Emily even kindly offered us a coffee before she was officially open when she saw us coming down to the beach before our train back to Paris… bless her! I hope you can all enjoy this beautiful place! P.S. It’s vegan-friendly, dog-friendly (with treats), and has the best toasties I’ve ever had (both summer and winter ones)!!

Castle beach cafe is so lovely to visit. It has such a strong community feel. I have 4 young children, we have previously visited for the egg hunt trail put on by the cafe which all of mine loved. When we visit the beach, we always pop to the cafe for a treat, whatever we purchase is always well received by all of us. The staff are always smiling and so welcoming. We love the various events that are put on & they are always so well done :-) It's such an asset to Falmouth 😀😀 I can't wait to visit again soon 🙏

It was a disappointed experience despite a nice refurbishment.

As local residents of Falmouth, we were looking forward to trying the newly updated Castle Beach Café. The improvements to the café's appearance are certainly noticeable, and the place looks much better than it did before. However, sadly, our first visit may also be our last.

Despite there being four staff members on duty, they seemed disorganised and unable to assist with even basic queries like the café’s opening hours or whether a spoon was available for our cake. The service felt unprofessional and lacked the welcoming atmosphere you’d hope for from a seaside café.

One of the new additions—a roof-covered seating area with several tables—could have been a great feature. Unfortunately, many of the tables were taken by people who weren’t eating or drinking, just chatting, which left paying customers like us standing with our coffee and cake. It wasn’t just us—others were left without seats as well.

To top it off, the prices were noticeably higher than cafés in town, where seating is not an issue and the service is much better.

We genuinely love supporting local businesses, but only when they uphold a standard worth supporting. Unfortunately, Castle Beach Café didn’t meet that standard for us, and we don’t...

The best cafe in Falmouth - possibly cornwall - certainly my favourite Emily and the crew serve the most delicious food, cakes, ice cream and coffee No website, but a Facebook page that is updated to show when the cafe is shut due to severe weather warnings - Emily actually cares about her customers and staff not being injured in storms. The cafe also lays on regular special events - the ABBA tribute act this summer was superb - Will Keating plays here regularly - and the Xmas treats that were put on this past year were excellent. Always try the roasty toasties when they are on (seasonal specials) - they are amazing Breakfast granola and porridge pots are also high on my faves list. Did I also mention how good the staff are? Everyone is just so great - it almost feels like family when you visit. So, follow the cafe on Facebook and get...
