£3.40 for a flat tiny croissant??! Tesco does better. Waited for ten mins in a line of 3. Surly service just saying “next” “next” Everything here is overpriced. They used to be a friendly neighbourhood place, but now it’s just money first!

Nice spot for a coffee at Preston Park, had an espresso and it was ok. Staff where friendly. Toilets, not sure if it's their resp.. but just go if absolutely necessary emergency.

I had a beef burger today at Chalet cafe whist having a walk with my dog. The burger was the best, nice coffee and perfect atmosphere for a day trip.

It's the inside of this cafe that disappoints for me. Outside areas are great and this cafe has great advantage of staying open later than the Rotunda (which closes ridiculously early to my mind). Yes agree cakes a bit expensive but would be happy to pay if could sit comfortably inside and eat them. Service is always pleasant and the position of this cafe is perfectly situated within Preston Park. So come on - make it more comfortable !

Don't understand why it's so difficult for me to leave another review so am updating this one from 2 years ago. Just want to say what a brilliant job the owners and staff of this cafe are doing during this second lockdown. They really are a little oasis in the doom and gloom! They have served us safely all through the summer and now are continuing to serve takeaway food and drink in a safe, socially distanced way. Yes of course there are queues but everyone appreciates the service so much that we all observe the rules and enjoy the chance to have a chat while we wait. So a big THANK YOU from me on behalf of so many of us who are really grateful that you are continuing to serve us....

Asked for a slushy and wasn’t told they didn’t have the machine on so turned out to be a 15 minute wait but it was then offered to me as runny cold syrup mix. No apologies or any form of decent customer service given at all. Just handed me £3 in cash and said ‘maybe you can choose something else when you’ve decided’…embarrassing.

The brownie was over priced along with 90% of their entire menu.

They were asked by a lady to grab some tap water and another for their dog which the worker stated ‘you have to pay’ as we were leaving the area we saw a group of small children who were also refused water on a very hot day unless they pay. So no tap water offered then. Got it.

Only posting due to the sheer lack of customer service skill shown and how ridiculous it actually was.

I work in the area and would love to have shared local independents but won’t be mentioning this one! Shame for such a great setting as...

Very overpriced. Paid over £9 for a slice cake and a small cappucino- seriously!! The older woman with squicky voice who works there was very unpleasant. Clearly have some problem with me ( perhaps my foreign accent) becouse wouldnt chat with me, nothing ( she did a lot with other people in the queqe),pass me the card machine to pay without a word please or thank you, not even would i like anything else, still chating to the other person doing the coffee like i was invisible and saying nothing that i shall wait for a drink on a side as she started serving the next person. Never received worse customer service!!!! Such a shame becouse the place is so nicely situated in the middle of Preston Park. But it seems the management dont really care ( as per other very negative reviews about them placed here) ,...
