My favourite place in Brighton, and I walk my dog here at dawn and of an evening. The view south can be spectacular, especially if you appreciate the cloud formations and the colours of the sky. Lay on your back and look up into space: it's a humbling experience. There's lots of nature here, a good variety of wild birds. I regularly see Jays, greenfinch, goldfinch, and wrens, amongst the more common robins and blackbirds. There's even thrushes. Sure, there are a few furry friends but that's because us humans leave rubbish behind including chips, sandwiches, crisps, and sweets. There's also a few people who scatter stale bread, I've no idea why as it's no good for birds. Read moreA great relaxing place to walk your dog, to sit and have a picnic or play outdoor activities. There is a public tennis court, which is free before 10am and then bookable afterwards. There is also a free table tennis table and a children's play area. There is also a Café, public toilets and a small open air theatre (B. O. A. T.), which puts on a wide range of shows throughout the summer. Check their website for dates, times and prices. Wish the baby swings could be more at the center, it is a bit far for my baby in the swing when my older son at the sand pit, a bit of blind spot, not easy to keep an eye on him.
Hove Park is currently closed for 4 weeks during renovation. Our kids prefer Peter Pan playground but it is a big too far for us
