GET THE FLAT WHITE! ESPECIALLY if you're NOT a fan of coffee. I thought coffee was supposed to taste burnt, I thought it was MEANT to be sour. Now I see what the fuss was about. I've since ordered flat white's at a number of places, (including the eponymous Flat White in london) and this place beats them.
OH AND IT'S CHEAP!! WOW Best of both worlds! I do wish there were power outlets, but it's no big deal.
Before you order a flat white anywhere, ask them what the difference is between a small latte and flat white, if they don't say that the shot is pulled for about half the time in a flat white (leaving out the bitter and sour extracts from the second half of the extraction, this is called risetto) then you're not getting the coffee you deserve!
SOME TIPS:
-DONT PUT SUGAR IN YOUR COFFEE: Get a tab of chocolate, i'm partial to a piece of toblerone, and take a little bite of your chocolate and let the coffee melt it in your mouth. You get the proper texture of the coffee, without having to mix the sugar in, and you get the sweetness of the chocolate. THe mixture is divine. -Get the cinnamon discount card- It's a small saving, but no keeping track of pesky punch cards or loyalty apps. -If you're very lucky and Bruno is working, a Bruno Flat White™ is the best of the best. The cinnamon bun is...
Read moreAlways come here when visiting a friend in Windsor, but latest visit may be last time. Sweets array very limited and "sorry" looking which in turn reflected taste - mediocre and the chocolate fudge brownie or whatever it was wasn't nice (small portions). Regular sized coffee was stingy in size, albeit nice but served warm rather than hot. Expensive overall. Needs an adult to be in charge as numerous young girls seem a bit "dizzy" with service and what's going on and what needs to be done etc. Tables should be cleared more promptly. Used to be good here. September visit review: when I arrived (just coffee this time) many tables front and back not cleared (very ugly looking with wasp hovering) despite 5 or 6 girls behind counter. Wasn't until 30 mins later until someone finally started to clear stuff. Very inefficient run it seems. Coffee wasn't all that today, but they did seem to have a better, fresher array of sweets than last time. Had their chance to redeem themselves, but alas won't ever be giving them my...
Read moreI’ve cycled from Wembley to Windsor many times, and not really sure how we’ve missed this great cafe.
Luckily for me, I joined a cycling group last weekend who are regulars at the Cinnamon Cafe, and is definitely going to be one of my regular stops on a long sunday morning ride.
They cater well for cyclists, as lots of cycle stands located directly outside, and adequate covered seating for cold & wet days.
Cafe has a good range of drinks/snacks/meals, and surprisingly good range of vegan cakes - which makes my life very difficult as i can’t choose - so have 2 instead, and my excuse is that ill cycle harder to burn the extra calories.
Service is swift and with a smile, despite the mad rush and long queue of lycra wearing cyclists and tourists waiting to be served.
There are also public toilets in the...
