Costa Coffee - Rainham — Restaurant in England

I am sad to say that my first experience of Costa at Rainham Kent was most disappointing. This morning, I arrived at 12.05 with one person in front of me, yet I waited for several minutes for her transaction to go through the till.. After waiting several minutes in the queue to be served, the female on the till did not apologisee to me for waiting and if anything seemed off with me from the start throwing teaspoons onto my tray. I then had to watch painfully as the male on the coffee machine made one coffee for the person in front of me. The slowest thing I have ever seen. He heated milk and then decided to do the coffee bit and took forever to combine them. Then even with a pile of silver jugs with thermometers in them right next to him, he went off to wash the same jug and repeat the same process again to make my husbands coffee. Visited today to warm up with hot drink, well the drink was hot and fine, but felt very uncomfortable and cold. Both very wide doors wide open and Aircon on with ice cold air blowing. The young staff seemed oblivious to customer's needs, just seemed, as long as got service done, that's all interested in. Obviously they're only doing their job, as instructed re Covid rules etc, but few establishments r taking them too far. Health advisors said it's 'advantageous ' to hav airflow, that doesn't translate into freezing yr customer's with Aircon n open doors in winter and worse to come. Staff were on the ball and friendly. Our drinks were nice and hot,tasty and we're made within a couple of minutes. We had a bacon roll which went down well. Unusually for a Costa the tables were mostly clear and had been cleaned. I did use the toilet, it was average and could have done with a bit of cleaning. I find Costa expensive but this was a bit of a treat, I'm not a regular user. There are some savings to be had by downloading the Costs App. They do have some outside seating but today was not the day to sit outside.
