Sad to say there was an unbelievably rude young lady serving customers in Costa on the 22nd. I was astonished to witness her barking at customers and raving about the covid pandemic, as though customers were an inconvenience. There was no attempt to be friendly and welcoming and certainly she had forgotten all of her manners. It is safe to say that everyone is fatigued with the current national emergency and it is inevitable that ordinary people have moments whereby they are merely human. She clearly lacks any customer service skills, failed to demonstrate any empathy and compassion. She seem to grasp every opportunity to be officious, demonstrating a hostile attitude, demeanor and poor language choices towards paying customers, clearly she is in the wrong job. I was absolutely horrified and embarrassed for some of the older people, the way she spoke to them was as though they were naughty school children. Read moreThe worst coffee I’ve ever had and aweful customer service. Clearly the staff are inadequately trained in making drinks and in manners! I asked for a Cortado, which is espresso with a short amount of frothed milk, which usually comes in an espresso size cup. What I got was medium sized cup full to the top with warm milk mixed with coffee. My partner took it back for me and asked for a Cortado, only to be told that “That’s what I’ve been taught” and given another drink exactly the same, with slightly less warm milk. These guys clearly have no idea what a Cortado is, let alone how to make one. Which I would do mind at all if it weren’t for the fact they have Cortado on the menu!
