Costa Coffee — Restaurant in England

Took my family to Costa today and ended up walking out. Only one male member of staff serving the other female member of staff was emptying bins whilst the queue was to the door. The female member of staff called the server over to get a wheel chair ramp out instead of doing it herself. She then finally came over to serve looked at the receipt on the till and said “there is too many different orders on that” and then proceeded to take our order whilst the customer in front just stood there. She took our order and then walked off, she shouted over to the male server I am just going to do something I will be 10 minutes. My Dad shouted over to her “excuse me I thought you were serving me” to which she replied “I am just helping this customer on his phone”. This customer did not shout her over whilst she was serving us he didn’t even appear to have any drinks or food. The lady clearly just did not want to serve, it was almost like a comedy sketch and we were being set up. We decided to leave along with 3 or 4 other customers in the queue after...

Visited this Costa Coffee whilst in Newquay for our wedding anniversary. I am a loyal Costa Coffee fan even having the coffee pods at home. I was shocked,appalled and worried. Tables although having a notice on them saying they were being cleaned after each customer were clearly not, as we noted. Tables were dirty with previous customers food and crockery. Customers were queueing for the toilets well within a meter of an old lady who we saw complain and nothing was done. Staff did not seem bothered about doing there bit to try and stop the spread of covid other than getting you to download the test and trace app. A lady came out of the toilet advising others not to use them as they were discusting! Food and drink as expected. Order times however are rediculous. And I blame their new mobile ordering app! Had only two people in front of me yet the guy making the drinks was totally mixed up. Took ages to make one coffee, and then started making coffees for people doing click and collect orders instead of mine whilst I'm at the front waiting. I could have gone up to cafe Nero and grabbed a coffee whilst I waited then come back and still he wouldn't have been done! This is a very busy Costa in a busy location in central Newquay. To only have one barrister making coffees in the lead up to lunch time is just mad. More staff...
