Costa Coffee — Restaurant in England

Reasonable quality coffee, but upsettingly the barista chose to berate my children (rather than approaching me about it!) for standing at the window away from other customers and playing a quiet game of "I Spy". This was inappropriate and bordering on weird...if the staff have a problem with children, they should approach the parents/adults who are there with them rather than act as some sort of vigilante disciplinarian.

It upset the kids and ruined a family visit to grab a quick coffee and hot chocolate and to shelter from the rain.

If children behaving like normal kids is unacceptable to the staff, perhaps they should make the store 18+.

A very different experience to my local Caffe Nero in Sherborne, who actively encourage my children to order their own drinks and have no problem with them being normal...

Conveniently located just at the exit to the train station, so that they can effectively poach exhausted commuters at any time of day. The siren's call that is the aroma of gingerbread latté festively lures the masses to their £3.15 massimo doom. Beware the middle-aged handbag-dog-wielding posh woman who inevitably ends up in front of you and orders a decaf, soy single-shot caramel macchiato with a piece of gluten free brownie, because of the grief she will inevitably suffer with her psoriasis if she dares to imbibe anything...

This is usually my favourite go to for my morning coffee l go in EVERY DAY the staff usually have my order placed before I ask. I placed an order online only to find the shop closed as no staff i had been charged for the order. I went in the next day but the costa app gives no proof of order. I was made to feel like a liar, told the order never came through on their system despite being charged. I love my coffee and usually love the staff at Cooper Street but I don't think I'll be going back. Very...
