The two staffs last Thursday dated 13/02/25 was not welcoming. Me and my friend said Hi to them while we were on the queue but they never acknowledged us. We were tourists in the area, but when there seemed to be two “locals” that approached the queue they instructed them and even gave them the menu. We stood there for nearly 6mins waiting for them to acknowledge us but never got it. We were so disappointed by that bec we just want to have desserts. They just looked at us, maybe they thought we could not speak english? We left without ordering, then the couple who was behind us who clearly are looking locals, they took the orders. How disappointing so I am just going to leave that experience in the reviews.
Just to respond to the reply, the place seemed to be not busy bec there were only two tables in there that had customers. We called someone over and politely asked why they had given us the wrong thing and they said "we've run out of what you ordered so you should have been told we would give you a replacement at the till" and I said we weren't told and they said "next time ask when you order so you're not disappointed" ??? I can't order something and then say "do you have the ingredients in stock?" Surely it's your job to tell us you've run out without being asked? He then walked away and left us with something different to what we ordered and didn't even apologise or offer any solution? I don't know why we didn't even get an apology. On arrival, track and trace..excellent, but then it went a bit downhill. 🤔. Queues to order, very difficult to social distance. No children’s menu available...don’t know why! so had to pay full price, then our 4 desserts arrived individually over the space of around 15-20 minutes. After we had finished eating, the children’s slush puppies arrived, which were more like strawberry water with bits of ice. Only 1 staff member wearing a mask, no evidence of hand sanitizer, staff moved from cutting fruit to attending to customers paying and back again without cleaning hands or equipment. We were even given spoons which the waitress picked out of the container using the spoon head rather than the handle.
