Elixir Restorante — Restaurant in England

Just been for a birthday celebration. 4 items had to be sent back due to being bsolutely disgusting replacements were offered which is where the decency ended. We ordered puddings and were served tiramisu which upon tasting was off the lady who picked it was pregnant so we complained and the young server who had wavy brown hair was later seen mocking us rolled her eyes and tutted at us for complaining. She came back to tell us the whole of the tiramisu was off so we had to pick something else. We asked to speak with the manager as that was the 5th meal we sent back yo be told they couldn't get hold of him. The same server continued to belittle the party for complaining and we could hear and see her slagging us off to other members of staff. Her attitude was atrocious and she should definitely not be working in a customer service role as she is the most rude impolite person ever. We will never go back to this restaurant there was no apology for the poor service the attitude or the off pudding. This is not how a business should be run. Visited this evening as part of a group of 16 . When I ordered the venison and was asked how I’d like it cooked I replied “ rate” The waitress appealed for witnesses to verify I asked for rare and I had to repeat “yes I want rare “ When it arrived it was slightly over medium. The “ Red wine sauce “ was a stodgy gravy , the mash had a funny taste , a mountain of broccoli and 3 spears of over cooked asparagus was the seasonal veg . Service was slow and many members of the group waited a long time for there meals . Including my 4 year olds ice cream that was left on the bar while others had their dessert . My first visit and for me my last . Other guests in our party enjoyed their food . The pizzas were apparently good . I tried some garlic bread from my daughter and that was dry and too thin . 21/01/23, this was the 12 year wedding anniversary of my wife and myself, this restaurant has been open for a short time in our town and let me tell you, the food and service here is second to none, I would however say book in advance, because when you have the elixir experience you’ll agree it was the best idea to pre book at least 3/4 days In advance. The atmosphere is electric, the staff service is first class, and the food…… oh my god, the food is what dreams are made of. The ambiance, the lighting you couldn’t ask for anything better whether your in for a relaxing drink with friends or your out for an occasion evening, I guarantee you will leave with nothing but a smile on your face.
