Negative Point the reason I gave it 1 start Got food delivered and was missing 4 x popadoms rang shop he say he could just give us some next time I ordered or he could send them out and it would take about 30mins which I said that fine il wait for them to arrive 5 minute later gets a phone call from the shop asking if I was sure I didn’t receive them I was sure the manger then basically accused of lying as he said he had spoken to the person who had packed my food and the driver and they swear blind they can remember packing them which they might of done but I never received them not being funny but if I was going to say something was missing it would be a main meal not some popadoms. Delivery time When I ordered says food would be 45mins it took an hour and 15 mins so half an hour later than I was told I can live with that as it was a Friday night and they can get busy. Positive Note The food was Excellent loads of taste in the chicken tikka masala could happily eat it again rice was cooked perfect and the meat samosas was excellent just a little to spicy...
Read moreOn holiday in the area. Read the reviews beforehand. Really, really good reviews for everything other than people not reading that they don’t serve alcohol - it’s a byo. We decided to order take-away for collection just for convenience. The restaurant is up a couple of flights of stairs which would have a challenged one of our group, in hindsight so we made a good choice. Regardless, the process of ordering online, collection, staff welcome, and food was excellent. And whilst I was waiting for my order ….a couple came in and was disappointed that no alcohol was available 🙄 Honestly, do your own research …or, Royal India, stick a big poster on the door and charge corkage (a lot of small restaurants do this in Bristol instead of paying for an expensive alcohol licence - a one-off £3 per person per evening who brings in their own alcohol - job done and no moaning Minnie’s!!!). We had Garlic Chilli Chicken, Chicken Tikki Masala, and Butter Chicken. The spicing on the Garlic Chilli Chicken...
Read moreWe managed to get a table as a walk-in, and were politely made aware that the table would need to be free at a certain time, which still gave us plenty of time to enjoy our meal, and fitted our plans anyway as we had a concert to attend. The staff were very professional, working well and calmly together as a team. The food was delicious..cooked with a lovely light touch, tasty and nicely presented. Portions are generous, prices very reasonable. We had sheek kebab and prawn puree starters, poppadoms with a good selection of pickles and sauces, then lamb pasanda and chicken joypuri with mushroom rice and garlic light-as-air naan. A complimentary dessert completed our meal, and a rose stem presented before we left was a sweet touch. Our first visit, but definitely not our last. Our waiter said they'd only been open for 6months, so good luck with your venture....
