We came in for a take away but the staff were very attentive and helpful front of house.
I personally thought it was very expensive for a take away consisting of 2 x soup, a quarter duck with pancakes and a house special satay with chips at £32.80, back in Durham the exact same meal costs me £19-£20 max (and it is correct and edible)
The main issue I had though was with the House Special Satay, I have ordered this dish up and down the UK and never had an issue but this was horrendous! Firstly it wasn’t even on the menu, no problem I was assured, (my Brother had the same issue with ordering a Chop Suey) but he was cagey about the price with it not being on the menu. Now, here is the main issue, EVERY house special dish I have ever ordered contains beef, char su, chicken and prawns, not this one, when we unpacked the meal back at home instead of the standard size carton this was a half size carton and can only be described as 2-3 table spoons of a very non-descript sauce a green pepper (chopped into large pieces) and 9 or 10 small slices of unrecognisable meat (I suspect it was char su but without any “spice colouring”, it was so over cooked I couldn’t bite through it and was absolutely and completely devoid of any flavour whatsoever.
Lessen, if you don’t sell a dish don’t try to wing it, especially charging very high prices for half portions to a person who is very knowledgeable about the food industry and standards. I consider this a shameless fraud which has started our badly needed rest weekend off in poor fashion. I really am furious, and haven’t yet decided what further action to take.
My message to other diners, eat here if you wish but be wary and keep a tag on the bill if you order anything even...
Read moreTerrible service and management. Would be 0 star if possible. We arrived at 5:30PM (opening time) and our mains arrived (after many reminders) after 9PM. It took them an hour for drinks after being seated and another hour for starters and roughly another 2 hours for mains. They kept prioritising take-away orders and other smaller tables (other dine-in tables also looked annoyed waiting but they were still served before us even though we were first to arrive there). We were there from opening time to closing time on 27/12.
The starters were just too salty and the mains were mostly terrible too. The only food we can recommend after ordering over £500 of food and drinks were the crispy duck. "King Prawn Chow mein (dry)" was covered in sauce and bean sprout. Some of our food never arrived and when we explained when trying to pay the bill, they kept making excuses and didnt want to take it off the bill. e.g. we ordered 2 bowls of rice and only got 1 and they said they "put both orders into 1 bowl" We ended up paying over £500 for 15 people for terrible food and a long night. Never coming back here and will be sharing our experience...

Only put 1 star due to having to otherwise 0/5 we experienced a take away order from here due to our usual Chinese being shut and fancying one. Where to i start? Pure disaster and disappointment!! Curry sauce was like jelly and had lumps in it… -Kung pou beef had prawns in it, sauce was fishy and spicy, absolutely disgusting… Cantonese style chicken, cold chicken and let’s just say I’m lucky I have any teeth left it was that hard…. salt and paper chicken, I have experienced some spicy salt and paper chicken but Jesus Christ it’s just pure chillies cut up and put with it and no salt in sight also rock hard, could put someone’s windows in with it…. lemon chicken, chicken wasn’t too bad but the sauce that came with it smelt, looked and tasted like the hand wash you get with ribs… house special chow main, actually okay, not too bad, best thing...
