Update, I've been to one of the popular Art and Craft Fairs. Join the Floral Hall Facebook page for what's on. Lots going on at the Floral Hall, events, cafe, second hand books, small beach items shop and films. Great sea views. Car Park - free for 3 hours, then a hefty fine. If attending an event and then going to the cafe going over 3 hours, hand your car registration number onto the Cafe staff. Accessibility - mixed, different levels internally, if you can't manage stairs, then you need to go into the Cafe to ask for the disabled access on the sea front to be opened (if closed). Ramp inside the main hall to the upper level and mens loo. Access to the Ladies and Cafe by staircase or outside for a ramp in and out of the hall. See toilets below. Cafe - popular, as a veggie, I don't order meals there, just Teacakes as on a previous visit, my Chips and Eggs were cooked with someone's bacon as evidenced by the bits on my plate. Toilets - Ladies (also ladies disabled loo) in the cafe. Men's and their disabled loo in the main hall.

Always holds a special place in my heart, memories of stopping off here for a bite to eat & drink with my parents and brother, after walk along the beach & promenade A family friendly & dog friendly place with outdoor & indoor seating The food & drinks are a little pricey, yet worth it when you get it served at your table, good quality with larger portions than you expect! It also has a little toy stall & two walls dedicated to local artists selling their creations, plus a second hand book store which is very cheap! The servers are obviously well trained, very polite & courteous, even when you make a mistake with your order they remain unflustered! Well worth a visit at any time of year as it's right next to the sea with a great car park too

Great spot and a lovely seafront location. Even when busy there’s plenty of space and it’s cosy and warm when it’s cold outside. Lovely seafront views and plenty of choice on the menu of snacks, small bites, and drinks, as well as desserts. We enjoy the breakfasts. You can’t mix and match your options but this is good news because it means they can prepare everything efficiently and so that it’s piping hot. Bacon is thick and the sausages are good quality. Granary toast also got a thumbs up. Lovely atmosphere, just a great cafe. No frills, no pomp and circumstance, welcoming to all and a lovely bustling feel, while still having room to get tucked away and have a quiet drink or bite with friends. An essential part of the community!

My wife and I regularly go to the monthly cinema day, which we enjoy very much. To have this sort of venue locally is very important to the local community. Sadly we have found today, that the doors should be open at 2.30pm , as advertised, but people were queuing outside at 2.40pm. When the doors were eventually opened, we found a couple of seats, the went to get two cups of tea, and a free biscuit per cup. The lady issuing the tea seemed to be totalling unorganised. She served from two tables, one with the cups and tea urn on, and another with milk/ sugar etc. The problem being that people putting milk/ sugar in their tea, were in the way of people wanting to order theirs. She had very little change, and people had to go and get change to be served. She offered no biscuit with the drinks, and indeed hadn't got them out of the packets, as she hadn't got a plate !!!! Was asked to call back later !!!! Surely , all this should be organised, prior to doors opening. Its not "rocket science" Why are the ice creams , which are sold at the intermission sold from behind a curtain, up some steps, near the ladies toilet ??? There is plenty of room in the cinema area, for a table selling ice cream, all on one level for the elderly, who in some cases may have trouble climbing stairs. A re-think on these issues is...

Beware of staying longer than 3 Hours!!

Been there a few times. Don’t think I’ll be going back. Staff have always been pleasant, not quite so helpful though. Food has always taken over 40 mins to be delivered, just letting a customer know BEFORE they order that there is an extended wait for food would be nice. When food is delivered sometimes salads are warm but chips are cold. Branded drinks are not UK standard so ingredients can vary from what people might be used too.

Also, the car park is managed by a company called Highview Parking and if you do happen to stay any longer then the EXACT 3hrs then expect a HUGE charge.

I thought I would be charged the East Riding Council charge rate of £20 when I realised we got back late. It doesn’t matter if its 6 mins over or 46 mins over, they WILL charge you! Floral Hall seem to be happy to allow this company to charge the highest tier possible of £90! The Parking company will post the charge out with early pay discount and even that’s at the higher rate of £40! They will also add admin charges to any way that you pay this charge.

This is the main reason why I will no longer be spending any money at the...

While I personally thought this was a lovely place to stop off while out with the dogs and would have give a 5 star review until today. An elderly man on a mobility scooter got off and very slowly & painfully made his way to the door, I couldn't even offer any assistance as I had my dogs with me and couldn't leave them at the table by themselves Admittedly it was the exit door and he was told by a member of staff that he needed to go to the entrance door to sign in and did he have a mask, which he did not. While I fully understand the reasons for this, why could the staff member not offer to take his details and sign in for him. The gentleman very slowly & painfully made his way back to his mobility scooter. My husband came out with our drinks, put the tray on the table and offered to go and get his order for him but the gentleman politely declined, probably due to pride. Again I do fully understand and adhere to the rules in place at this time but surely the staff should be more helpful to those who are less fortunate, they themselves may one day be in the position as that old gentleman. Let's hope someone is more helpful and compassionate than they...
