We brought my parents here last weekend for a celebration meal. The restaurant itself is beautiful and stylish. You are given the impression from the decor and table layout that service will be formal but it’s very relaxed (wine bottle placed on table rather than poured for example). Service was friendly but slow despite restaurant only having a few guests. We ate from the Sunday lunch menu which had a number of options alongside the traditional roast. Sunday roast was good, not great. Veg option (tofu curry) was really poor. Cubes of tofu in a thick sauce with no veg, not even garnished?? It was mentioned but we didn’t hear back from the staff. Dessert and coffee were both very good! We enjoyed the surroundings and trying somewhere different but there are too many good restaurants in the area to return to Fowey Hall.
