Ganges Indian Restaurant Shifnal — Restaurant in England

We recently visited Ganges Indian Restaurant in Shifnal, and it was one of the most frustrating dining experiences we've ever had. From start to finish, the service was poor and unprofessional.

To begin with, there was a long delay before any food appeared – yet, without asking, the staff started bringing out pints of lager to our table, just because we were nearly finished with the ones we had. None of us ordered more drinks, and it felt pushy and presumptive.

When the food finally arrived, it came out in a staggered, disorganised fashion – with a 40-minute gap between the first and last main courses. Absolutely ridiculous, especially for a group booking where you'd expect everything to be brought out together or at least within a reasonable timeframe.

The food itself? Completely average. Nothing to shout about – not awful, but definitely not good enough to warrant the prices or the chaotic service.

The worst part, however, came at the end. Each of us had already paid a £10 deposit, but the restaurant conveniently forgot this and insisted we pay the bill in full. When we challenged this, the staff became rude and aggressive, refusing to listen and causing an uncomfortable scene.

We ended up being overcharged, treated poorly, and left with a sour taste in our mouths – and it wasn’t from the food.

We won’t be going back and would strongly advise others to steer clear. There are plenty of better places nearby where you won’t be ripped off or treated with...

Honestly I have never had an issue as bad as this, ordered a meal tonight for me and my mate while camping. Waited over 1 hr 30 for the food to come. We had to call them to find out what the issues was. Was informed that they had come and couldn’t find us and they tried to call but we did not answer. We have full reception and have not missed any calls, we also ordered via uber eats with pin point location which was right on us. No car come at all and we had no missed calls, manager called us abusive names down the phone as we quite rightly asked for a full refund. All in all we gave them money for no food no refund and to be called dreadful names.

Ordered onion bhaji but got onion marbles and they was burnt side salad was a small bag of lettuce poppadom was smashed and now for the main Ordered chicken balti all that was a container of base Indian gravy sauce very salty 4 pieces of chicken a few bits of green stuff floating in it a couple of bits of onion. rice looked ok nan bread looked OK did not eat rice or nan as the gravy turned my stomach takeaway was Ordered at 6.55 pm to be picked up at 7.50 kept waiting was finally ready for 8.10 eaten from here before food as been ok but after this and the fact the member of staff was very rude to my wife when she phoned to complain I don't...
