Below is a review for GBK generally and this specific venue combined as it upholds the standards of the other GBKs I have visited.

The food is well priced and it tastes amazing. Myself and my family and partner have been to various GBKs many times and it has never failed to disappoint.

It is about £10-20pp including drinks, main course and desert as well as side.

It is more expensive than other burger fast food restaurants but it is also not a normal fast food joint, food may be fast but it is proper ingredients and not oily or dry and is beautifully seasoned and cooked at the customers preferred level (for beef).

The skinny fries are very skinny, personally I did not find enough "fry" on them to taste them, they were more like pretzel sticks so beware before ordering them if that doesn't sound appealing to you! Chunky skinless fries or sweet potato are beautifully cooked and go extremely well with "baconaise" sauce.

They have good options if you are not a meat eater, vegans should check menu prior to visiting.

The staff are friendly and professional, we are always greeted with a smile and service is quick. You need to order at the till and pay, they will then serve to your table.

I would not recommend this establishment to families with very young children as it is more a place where those that don't want to be around them go and the dishes are aimed more at other ages. That being said I have seen children there that seem to be eating happily and quietly and I expect that GBK welcomes people of any age.

TO FIND GBK LAKESIDE: Either enter the shopping center or drive to the last car park (car park 12) at the very end towards the service area (follow the sign to there) exit towards the neon lit up bowling/arcade and walk along the outside to the far end and you will end up outside the Vue Cinema.

If you entered the shopping center, follow the signs to the Vue Cinema and it will bring you out into a courtyard in front of the Vue Cinema.

Once you are at the Cinema, follow the path down the left side past Prezzo and you will will come to the board walk with a floating restaurant on your right.

We have been to this particular restaurant as a family many times and it has always been good. My wife is vegan and they serve a vegan burger which means all 4 of us can eat here....HOWEVER!

Just myself and my wife were in lakeside the other day and decided we would pop in for a burger and fries, we went to the counter and ordered. I asked for a normal, burger,fries and my wife asked the young lady if she could recommend which vegan burger to go for as they now serve 2. After going with what she recommended my wife also asked for fries at which point the lady asked my wife of she was vegan. My wife replied yes to which the lady informed us that she was also vegan and that the fries were cooked in the same oil as the onion rings! Therefore my wife could not have any.

As I said we have been to this restaurant many times and not once was my wife informed that the fries were cooked with the onion rings, this is disgusting. She was only informed this time as the lady serving us happened to be vegan.

Why gourmet burger cannot cook them separately and other vegans a complete meal is beyond me, and to not inform customers of how things are cooked at point of order is a complete lack of transparency.

We will not eat there now and we have tried to spread the word through social media of how things are cooked as gourmet burger won't openly inform you...

This Lakeside GBK restaurant is an absolute delight! From the moment I stepped through the doors, I was greeted with the utmost respect and professionalism from the staff. Two employees in particular, Veronika and Caoimhe, truly stood out for their exceptional service.

The time it took to be seated and served was great - I never felt rushed or overlooked. Veronika and Caoimhe were attentive, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to ensure my dining experience was nothing short of amazing.

The food itself was delicious, with a great variety of options to choose from. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, creating the perfect ambiance for an enjoyable meal.
