Went here with a group for pancake day. On their board and website it says they do vegan pancakes until 2pm. Came in at 1pm. They would make all pancake day pancakes for everyone else but refused to do the vegan pancakes on their menu and were incredibly rude staff. Serving everyone else and rolling their eyes when asked for vegan pancakes and no apology for going against what their menu said (they have the ingredients the chef just refused to make them as they decided today there were no vegan pancakes past 12). Really bad and upsetting experience. Would not recommend Edit in response to owner: It was a group of 5 of us so we do have witnesses to backup events, which I am happy to provide. I think it's very unfair to say any of us were "angry" to your staff and the chef did not come out to see us. We were told that you had "stopped making them" not that you had run out hence why we quoted this in the review. If this was inaccurate then there was a miscommunication. I don't think resorting to name calling was necessary....

Everything exceeded our expectations. Creatively and assiduously thought out dishes, executed to a flavourful and punchy delivery. The kimchi, tuna and Red Leicester / mozzarella sourdough toastie was flavour combination my tastebuds were delighted to experience! The salad maple and mustard dressing was delicious too. All ingredients are fresh, grown on site or sourced locally from the market and local suppliers like butchers and bakers, and their quality is reflected in their superb taste. I can’t recommend this place enough; it’s clear that there’s a passion for and curiosity about food as there is mastery for culinary execution . Very generous portion sizes. Excellent service.

When I found the place I wanted to go for breakfast had closed I looked for other options and Gray’s came highly recommended. The entrance was a little hard to find but once inside it was a spacious, modern cafe inside a community hub. I had a full breakfast which was excellent, they even apologised and brought out my baked beans which they’d forgot to put on my breakfast. The sour dough toast was nice and the sausage patty was different, very nice and slightly spiced. The cubed potatoes were an interesting touch and the mocha coffee was very nice. Would highly recommend
