Shocking...not fit for purpose.
My brother kindly booked a table for 15 of us at 8.30pm. Upon arrival it was obvious to see that the restaurant clearly had no room for us and kept us waiting. After having to ask several times about waiting (we had children in our group) we were told they were sorting it and they couldn't do anything as an earlier large booking hadn't left. Just before 9 we began to adjust one table- the manager said we could use the take away table and this resulted in our group being sat at 3 different tables. Not ideal but just happy to be finally seated.
I personally took all the drinks orders for our party and handed them in. A waiter returned to inform me that there were no glasses but he would bring 2 jugs of drink out instead. I replied this this was not what I wanted. He later returned with drinks in the glasses. I then (using a notepad and pen) took the orders for our tables and handed those in. Staff were reluctant to help and it was clear that they could not cope with demands of running the place.
I also had to assist in serving the food for our group and ensure that all guests had everything they needed. Food- some dishes arrived earlier which caused them to go cold. Ambarsari fish had a hair in it. When I showed this to the manager the reply was "Are you saying I put that there?" I was not suggesting that but was obviously not impressed. The service was non existent. We wrote down all our orders and served our own food and even then some items were missing.
POINT 1- Why take the booking when you can not deal with the demand? Try saying we are fully booked.
POINT 2 - It is not the customers fault if your previous customers have not left the table. Most restaurants operate a policy where they require the table back after a certain period. This information had nothing to do with me.
POINT 3- The manager also rang back to confirm the booking and the time- yet no table arrangements had been made for us.
I do not understand how this place can operate like this. Note- other people were also getting annoyed during my visit and some people were walking out. Customer service is a joke and what should have been an enjoyable family meal, turned out to be a very stressful night.
Don't bother - I...

Visited the Himalaya Tandoori restaurant and had such a disgusting experience that it had to be shared! There was 15 people in our group, out to celebrate our grandma's birthday.
Our waiter was very gobby and had no manners what so ever. We ordered our starters and the waiter was very negative in what we wanted to order and eat, he kept on suggesting a Himalayan mixed platter which was an extra £2, but you only get one lamb chop... How can you possibly share one lamb chop between 15 people.
See attached image of the RAW CHICKEN served! We told the waiter and firstly he didn't believe us and didn't want to take a look for himself. Secondly he rushed over and took the plates as if nothing happened.
As if that wasn't enough. We ordered the mains and the salad had a HAIR embedded in-between. Again, told the waiter and he snatched it away and bought out a new one as if nothing happened with no apologies.
We asked for the remaining food to be packed (as you do at any other restaurant) The waiter bought out some containers and plonked it on the table for us to do it ourself. As we were about to pack the salad the waiter swiftly lifted it off the table. Asked him what he's doing and he said you can't take that it's "free" this was funny more than anything as they probably reuse the salad if they do not allow you to take it.
We then had to ask for the table to be cleared several times as so we could have cake for our gran. It took them over 35minutes to come over and clear the table.
The bill arrived and the only thing they did was knock off one starter because of the raw chicken. Oh and they added a CHARGE for the small foil containers. (Which they did not advice before hand)...
Read moreMy family and I went last Wednesday (05.08.20) as part of the Govt Eat Out to Help Out. When we called to book, the person on the other end had no idea what we were asking about when we wanted confirmation, they we are taking part in the scheme. Then they told us to come and they would 'sort it out'. We got there and were seated straight away. Everything seems fine. Waitress came and took our order. She was wearing a face mask. Drinks arrived and our starters came. They messed up some of the order, and the main waiter came, who wore his face mask under his chin. I was a little concerned as he stood right behind my husband. He then amended the order to make it right. The main course took ages to arrive, and we had to ask for it. I notice that people were complaining at the length of time it took for drinks arrive. There was only 2 waiting staff for the whole restaurant. Orders were taken ages, in fact the couple behind us, were willing to leave. Then our bill arrived. the food was discounted, but they failed to do the same on our drinks, we all ordered soft drinks, as they are a part of the scheme. The Restaurant refused to acknowledge this, even as my husband presented them with the Govt website from his phone, which state soft drinks were included. People around us were now taken note of what was happening, so my husband and I agreed to pay the amount, but make it clear we were not happy. Will not be going here again!!!! It is not the fact we paid the extra £5, but the principle of the matter. They will be able to claim this back from the Govt and yet...
