I'm a Curry-holic..... Please see my reviews from around the world, I have over a million views. So for the best part of £25 I ordered vegetable somosas (accompanied by salad tray and a pot of Raita), Chicken Pathia and a recommended dish from the helpful staff, Chicken Kary Josh. This was a takeaway and I'm surprised that having informed the staff I would be leaving a review there were no complimentary poppadoms.... But I'm not bothered as it's usually a nice gesture given by other restaurant's. The somosas were nothing to shout about, very bland and tasteless, there were no spices and flavours were distant. Salad was reasonably fresh and raita was a yoghurt dip. Chicken Pathia was reasonable though lacking in the hot, tamarind and sweet contrast one would expect and the chicken was tough in texture, moist but obviously pre cooked or boiled, not having any hint of layers of flavour. Kary Josh Chicken was obviously cooked with the same curry base and pre cooked chicken as the Pathia with a few additional ingredients chilli, garlic and pepper (capsicum). The chicken in both dishes was almost the taste and texture of mutton, not what I want in a curry. Would I recommend a visit? Not really a place I'd be looking forward to revisiting soon, nice staff but dissapointed with the food.

A "nice" restaurant overall, with "nice" food and nice staff. "Nice". Not overwhelming really and it should be, because this was an extremely expensive night out. 4 Poppadoms and dips over £5. £4 for a small portion of rice, 2 curries and drinks came in at nearly £55. I found the curries to be rather generic and disappointing. On the plus side, lovely setting and the staff were friendly. I would have give it a firm 3/5, but I had to knock a star off because of the price. Sorry, won't be returning.

This restaurant is a hidden gem and a firm favourite, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend! Friendly staff and great food, I’d recommend the Murgh Makhani (a little hot)!

Went for a takeout on Sunday evening... I was the only person in the place... That being said the food was very average at best.. Rice over cooked cheese naan hardly had any cheese on it.. Chicken tikka masarla was unappealing... There was just no love in the food.... Years ago noone in Bridgnorth could touch the quality of the Himalaya.. The chicken tikka used to be cooked beautifully and the sauce was to die for but not any more.... There used to be a swirl of fresh cream and fresh chopped coriander on the top of the tikka but not anymore.. Rice was so fresh and cooked to perfection but sadly not on my visit.... What's going on David... Standards have definitely slipped.. I do have to say the service I received was polite and pleasant..... I realise times change and chefs change but I can make a better chicken tikka masarla at home myself than I had on...

I visited this restaurant yesterday. A bit of a strange feeling on entrance with no one present to greet however thst was quickly corrected and several members of staff came to seat us.

The food was okay but wasn't anything that would make me rush back.

The service was pleasant with staff welcoming and eager to help.

The restaurant wasn't the cleanest with bits on the table when we sat down but generally everywhere was tidy.

I do think the food is overpriced with me paying almost £35 ,for 2 currys, 1 chips and 1 rice.

There is a massive car park to the rear of the restaurant with an alley way down the side for ease of access

The restaurant is located just off the main shopping area so is in a convenient location.

There is also a desert shop right next door which is a nice way to...
