Hi
I have tried to leave feedback following your invitational email and can only do so through replying to your email so here goes
My visit was to Impero Lounge Portishead on Tuesday 30 July 2024, table 2 order time 12.47
We were a party of six who spent £75 on meals and drinks and a further £25 on further drinks
Our experience on this visit was extremely disappointing as there was significant quality issues with the food namely:
The Shakshuka had completely dried poached eggs.
The Lounge eggs with bacon similarly the bacon was like a piece of leather.
The Twisted Chicken Ciabatta was very dry.
The children’s Macaroni did not appear until challenged by us we were told this had been left under the grill and when arrived the dish was dangerously hot to serve to an 18 month old child.
When we were asked “ Is everything ok with your food “ I relayed our disappointment to the server and they went away to find a senior person when I repeated our disappointment I was offered 2 fresh eggs ??
This was inappropriate as I had finished my meal despite the poor quality delivery and suggested a gift card or voucher would be more appropriate, the I was offered a free desert all of this completely not recognising how poor our experience had been, I was finally offered a slice of cake to take away.
Now I can understand there are times when someone simply has a bad day and I am very level headed so really consider the response to our experience totally inadequate and will leave you to reflect on how you wish to be remembered. I bear no malice however feel let down by the response so far
Look forward to hearing...
Read moreI’ve ordered lunch on Sunday 17th July. I was working in Boots Pharmacy next to Impero on that day and wanted to get some food. It was a hot day and I wanted to choose a veggie option and went for Shakshura. Paid for my lunch and was told it will be 10 min. Came back after 15 min and a young brunette girl there told me it will be another 15min. I’ve explained I cannot be popping out of work and if she can kindly bring it to the shop next to. She nodded that she cannot - very confusing like she did not understand. Fast forward, I got my food, ate it straight away - haven’t finished it without knowing why as I was still hungry. Something wasn’t right but I could not tell. Being busy at work did not think of anything. Want to mention that the food was extremely spicy although it had not marking on the menu as it would be spicy at all. I had this meal at 4PMish. Going home, during my night sleep I was abruptly woken up at 3.30 AM by an excruciating pain (8 out of 10) with terrible cramping. I just jumped from asleep straight on the toilet. I have spend 45min-1h in the middle of the night on the toilet being scared and in unimaginable pain. I have felt nothing like this before. At some point, diarrhoea started streaming through me and kept happening for 20 min straight. I have been extremely unwell the day after, feeling wiped out and nauseaus. It was clearly the I suffered a food poison. I would like some recognition for this situation as clearly some things need to be changed in...
Read moreThis was a good venue for meeting up with family at lunchtime. If you've not been to one of the lounges before, here's a quick summary: the décor has a shabby chic / steam punk vibe, walls painted in deep vibrant colours or with bold floral wallpaper, always with an eclectic mix of paintings/prints (lots of them); food definitely 'in the modern idiom': lots of burger variants, various bowls of salads with beans/pulses (plenty of vegan and vegetarian options), all-day breakfasts (again with choices for non-meat eaters), selections of 'tapas' (not all Spanish in style). The menu has a sandwich section, but these are largely panini or ciabatta (ie quite big). You can mix and match as you please. Ambience very definitely relaxed. I've often seen large family groups of mixed ages, so there's definitely something for everyone.
It is possible to order at the bar, but they generally prefer you to order (& pay) online. There's a QR code on the menu.
Having been to several Lounges, I would say that you're never in doubt that you're in a chain restaurant. However, they are very consistent & you know what you're getting. I've always found the staff to be...
